It's a hamster, named Mouche, a pet... [ he holds up the cage. ] A pet teaches you about responsibility, since they can be kind of a handful, but... it's really rewarding. You have to feed, clean up, and love your pet, but in return they'll love you back and play with you, giving you a sense of accomplishment for having been able to do all that.
How about this instead... [ he sets the cage down and takes the hamster out, stroking its fur with a few of his fingers to keep it calm. ] You can give him a little pat, gently. Like this. [ he gently pats her on the head. ] See. Slowly. Gently. Or... you can even pat me. [ he smiles. ] But... caring for other people and other things is important. And let's not forget about yourself.
I think that Mouche could teach you some things that will help you to become human, yes. [ returns the hamster to the cage, shutting the little door, and then... can he just scoop her up. let him carry all the things. childe loves child. ]
