I think it would. Every human I've ever met has a name of their own, rather than a designation. We're all named by our unitmates, so it makes sense for you to have one. It makes everyone feel more familiar, and that's a very human thing called bonding.
Dia and I each picked a name for you, which is how we do things on our unit -- oh. That's Aradia over there, you can call her that or Dia like I do, if you want to. And I'm Alizarin, but please call me Aliza.
You have a name and you can say thank you and speak with us, so you're a person for sure.
