Well... I was going to say metaphorically speaking, because what I mean is a person's ability to feel things, but humans all need a heart to live.
...I could be wrong about this, human anatomy sure isn't my forte. I could tell you when the blood tastes right and where the veins go, but that's about it.
Mm. Um, of course it was originally my thought, because I was thinking about the biology, but the truth is that the shape is actually something really simple, isn't it? If it were something as simple as that - ... if that was the only thing that it could be, this shape and the parts that help it stay in that way, then even I would be something a lot like a human, wouldn't I? Or you, or Gwendolyn, or -

and she shuts her eyes. ]
Well . . . even though it was my first thought, it definitely isn't anything physical, is it? So, for that organ there, too - it probably isn't anything like that either, right? In comparison, the kind that you were thinking of ...
Mm, that sort of heart - emotions are definitely important, aren't they?
[ Aliza can take a few guesses as to what's behind that pause and gesture, but they don't have time to unpack that now probably. So she rests a hand on Dia's other shoulder and gives it a gentle squeeze. ]
I think emotions are a great place to start. If only we had any idea how to work these pieces.
Honestly, if winning the game means forcing Clem to be a certain way, then I'd rather lose. If we can help her be closer to whatever she wants to be, even a little, then I'll be happy with that.

I think a heart is most important to being a human, but maybe that's just me. [ or just wishful thinking ]

Those sorts of things are - ...
[ chemicals in the brain, but just like she's not sure how relevant the body is - by virtue of that chemistry is also leery. ]
. . . Well, every type of animal has emotions that it feels, doesn't it? Is there something that you think makes humans different from them...?
Re: TURN 1
I'm not sure how we give those to Clem, though. Other than a lot of time and love and teaching.

If we're able to understand that, then we would be able to help her understand the sorts of things that you mean too, right...?
