You don't have to pretend to be tough by saying things like that, though. If you'll remember, I've already seen what you look like at your wit's end.
[ she reaches down to grab his face in both of her hands, tilting it upward so that when the darkness clears he can see the red of her eyes, but more importantly, so that he can see the car floating past, dropping out of sight somewhere behind them with a loud crash and a disgusting squelching noise -- followed by Hiryuu's strangled screams, crying for someone, anyone to come help her, to save her.
It hurts her so much. He can hear it in her voice, as she screams out her name. But fortunately, she won't die. She can't. She's a hero, and heroes never die, after all. She'll just stay there, crushed for as long as it takes for someone to come for her. And by the looks of it, no one's coming. Red lets go of his face, so that he can look around, and there's nobody else in sight.
Well, nobody in any position to help. There's a mangled, hacked up corpse just barely identifiable as Yasuragi's, Obsidian wailing helplessly at the car, and Nemesis, curled up and staring at him with eyes full of terror. And who can blame her? What kind of monster could've done something so horrible to someone so young? Perhaps there's solace in the fact that there's always a more terrifying monster, and Red smashes the heel of her boot into Loki's skull to remind him who it is.
Then again, perhaps it's no solace at all. After all, the makeshift chains binding him to the floor and the constant, echoing screams of the princess he failed to protect will serve to remind him of what kind of a horrid beast he is for as long as he's stuck down here. ]
[ theoretically he should know about nightmare vision by now and what it does
in practice, it's actually really hard to tell the difference between returning to reality when the light returns to your eyes, or returning to an illusion. of course the first thing he sees is red. red's eyes, that is. but the crash is immediate-- and the screaming ]

[ --- alright well that rips a VERY loud scream out of him. and at this point his dog finally seems to get the idea that maybe, just maybe, his master is in trouble as he bounds off in the direction of Hiryuu and Yasuragi, barking wildly.
as for Loki himself, he's not moving. not even attempting yet. the pain is blinding and it's all he can do to keep himself conscious and breathing, hard and hissed through clenched teeth ]
hahH-- [ he inhales sharply as her weight sends another sharp pain through his back and nearly every nerve in his body. he doesn't even have time to try and turn himself over before she grabs his arm, though when she does he tenses-- a burst of adrenaline pushing him to try and wrench his arm away from her before she can twist it back.
though eventually it's just. going to be a futile struggle. with his spine most likely fractured any movement at all is difficult and painful, and eventually his bones in his arm. just. give up. and snap.
at least she gets what she wants, though the second scream is more hoarse and tinged with something closer to a cry than the first.

[ at some point, Obsidian does manage to draw Yasuragi and Hiryuu's attention and leads them over to where Loki is being pummeled and broken, bone by bone. Her stomach lurches with horror. She was so busy worrying about Yasuragi--she lost track of just how many people were here. And now-- ]

with his one good arm he pushes at the ground. and forces himself up. and using his weight, all but throws himself to one side. being almost twice the size of Red, the best he can hope to do is to somehow just crush her with his weight. or at the very least throw her off. ]

Idk what stat to roll this fucker on but the dice said 2 2 4; 2+2=4 which is lower than any of her stats, 4+4 before she REALLY doesn't like you, and frankly, has never liked you. 8 damage to your face, Red, unless you can make a better roll to contest. ]
