He was always better with makeshift weapons anyway (where the fuck is his metal briefcase). He scoops down to pick up a broken tree branch with a particular sharp pointed end and aims it at Man☆Eater's shoulder like the javelin it is not (pre roll: 5 5 5) for a potential 5 damage]
[ the intense pain of his broken leg must be dulling his senses, because he fails to dodge that strike (agi roll: 4 6 6) and soon finds his shoulder pierced by a tree branch as a result.

oh... oh, this is probably bad. he can't walk, he has a serious stab wound, and with his shoulder skewered, he can't even freely retreat. in a last-ditch effort, he makes a grab for Intensity's neck (str roll: 1 5 5), trying to close his fingers around his throat. ]
[Intensity doesn't have the reflexes or the stamina to dodge that attack (agi roll: 4 4 4), and he makes a hiss of surprise and pain as Man☆Eater grabs his throat and cuts off his air.
Even if does miraculously manage to be the last person standing, "The Harder They Fall" is going to wear off, so he's a dead man anyway. And with the panic setting in of not being able to breathe and the hand on his neck (goddamn you, Last Supper trauma, why can't you fucking leave him be). He doesn't want to end this fight looking pathetic and weak.
So why not just---
He reaches to grip Man☆Eater by the hair and pull him in for a kiss.]
[ when Intensity grabs for his hair, he tenses like he expects some kind of attack, but this—this is fine. more than fine. he doesn't release his grip around Intensity's neck, but he easily falls forward into the kiss, lips curving into a smile against Intensity's and heart racing from the adrenaline of everything. ]
The kiss is not particularly romantic or engaging as Intensity is just using it as a smokescreen for the rising panic (that no doubt Man☆Eater can feel under his fingertips) as his brain and body scream for oxygen that is not coming and hands dig into skin where claws had torn through previously.
But the hand gripping painfully tight in Man☆Eater's hair is comforting. As is the smug sonuvabitch grin pressed against his lips.
Enough that he is able to keep (hopefully) some semblance of composure before his body automatically struggles against the lack of air before going limp all together]
[ once Intensity's body goes limp in his hands, he slowly, very gingerly lowers them both back down to the ground, first positioning himself in the least painful way he can with his injuries, then just laying there on his back with Intensity beside him. in his condition, there's nothing really to do but wait for the next round.
