You awaken slowly, laying in the middle of a cold, hard stone floor … and realise that you have absolutely no idea where you are, how you got here, and who any of these people are.

Some of you may also be wondering who you are, too. Hm. That's probably concerning.

START: Pentagram Room

There's something just a little creepy about this room. Maybe it's the amnesia? Or maybe it's got something to do with the huge chalk pentagram you woke up in the middle of. The pentagram is surrounded by a ring of twenty eight candles in black and gold banana-shaped candleholders. The flames send the shadows in the otherwise dark room dancing ominously.

There's a wooden door to the East. For now, it's locked; there's nothing you can do to make it budge.

[ Looking minimally interested in the surroundings because PERSON. And reaching over to walk her fingers up those glowing numbers, intrusive lady is intrusive ]

They look nice.

[ Her eyes narrow and flash a bright glowing red when denied what she wants -- ]

[ but then all smiles again because she does that right now ]

I didn't do anything. Just woke up here.

[ aaaaaand wandering over to poke at the candles. ]

They're regular candles, each about 10 inches long (not including the fabulous banana-themed candleholder).

[ ooh fun! She tries to pick up one of the candles, if it's stuck in the holder she tries to pick up the whole thing but she tries the candle itself first ]

she's going to rub at the chalk on the floor and see if she can erase part of the pentagram. ]

You pick up a candle.

It comes away easily, staining you with chalk residue. Nothing seems to happen though ...

Until a moment later, when a resounding click comes from the door.

[ she is exaggeratedly excited about this!! yay!! ]

[ turning the candle to the side so she can drizzle wax on the floor. ]

[ With one foot she nudges the empty candle holder because it's in her way, she's not aiming for anything specific just to move it. ]

CHASM

You enter a room split in two by a huge, jagged Chasm, spanned by the (very) rickety old remains of what (probably) used to be a wooden bridge. Do you have a head for heights and a daring heart? Because you might need both, if you're going to get across this.

Something chitters softly in the darkness way, way up above.

There's one door to the West side, and one to the East.

Anyone attempting to cross needs to roll 1D10.

Wax drips on the floor, which only serves to make a bit of a mess ...

They're not so much rocks as small chips that have come away from the walls.

... Which are made of rocks.

Congratulations on your rock.

[ Oh, look! Probably she can see all sorts of things from the middle of the bridge, it's not like it's dangerous because she wrongly thinks she has her canon abilities! ]

[ Onto the bridge then! Trying vaguely to look around and see what there is to see, but if she gets across then cool. Roll is 10 ]

BASEMENT LANDING

You enter the Basement Landing.

There's not much here except … coal. Piles upon piles upon piles of coal, the floor caked in a thick coating of ash and soot. It's spectacularly filthy.

There are doors to the North, South, and West, and … a set of closed elevator doors? to the East.
