Amnesplora: Liminal Space

Wherever you are in the house, whatever you may have been doing right in that moment

You hear a chime, like a clock sounding the hour. Has it only been that long? No, it can't have been, it must've been longer ... right? Oh well. You're out of time, and now you're here.

Here is a liminal space. It's like a washed out version of the Entrance Hall, so big and fancy, with its high vaulted ceilings and polished oakwood floors, intricate detailing, and the ornate front door. Everything else is shrouded by fog. You can try to find the other doors, you can try to find the foyer, but ... they're not there? Walk more than a minute into the fog and you'll find yourself right back where you started.

[Pulling off his cape, he starts twisting it up to squeeze the water out of it.]

Did you end up in the lake or the pool to get that wet?

A young man with me fell into the lake and so I went after him.

That was good of you. I'm sure he was glad to have someone care about him, even if you were strangers -- which I assume you were because no one here seems to know each other.

I recognized the woman that I was with, but only barely. Still, we awoke in the same place under the same circumstances, and so sticking together was the best way to ensure survival. That is all.

Ah. Well... even if you only went in after him for survival's sake, I'd still think he might appreciate the efforts. It's more than some others would have done.

His survival was also important, whether it affected mine or not. I need not make an oath of protection to see that saving a boy from drowning is the right thing to do.

[Also, Hiroto is unhinged, and very nearly jumped down the chasm because he just believes he can do whatever. Which is probably not smart but it worked out so he'll make that mistake again for SURE!]

It is not that noble to do that, surely.
