POISON: sensitIV

[ The room is plain, white walls and white ceiling, except for the steel-panel flooring. There are three metal stands rising out of openings in the floor, each of which carries a glass vial on top. One of them just holds water. Of the remaining two, one contains a dark red, opaque liquid with a creamy consistency; the next is a relaxing blue, with small brightly glittering star-like orbs drifting through it.

Both have fancy but identical cast iron stoppers moulded in the shape of a shark plugging them shut. The only difference is that the red vial's shark is painted white, and the blue vial's shark is painted black. ]

Our options are also fairly simple, aren't they? We have an agreement with Wild City, so if we send our antidote it would be that unit. If we send poison, not that unit.

In any case, unless the vials come to life to bludgeon us, I don't think we'll be of much use afterwards. So the rest comes down to personal preference. If we want to prioritize ending the game quickly, we can simply open ourselves up to be targeted by sending off or discarding our antidote.

[Or by sending poison but does anyone here want to do that, really.]

Mm, that might be the fastest way to end the game.

But, let's not tell Izanagi-san, mm?

Of course.

. . . And, Ani-ue should not find out either. Ahahaha. Or we'll get in trouble.

Right.

[ there's a beat ]

If we receive a poison, at least two of us will have to drink it . . . It doesn't particularly matter which of us gets it, does it?

If it doesn't matter, we may as well share it between all of us, right?

Mm, sure. We can do that.

[ a beat ]

So, the only problem will be if we don't get any poisons . . .

In which case surely another unit will think "oh no, we need to step up to the task of ending this game". ...Or perhaps a unit who poisoned themselves will be made to feel more inclined to end it.

. . . Certainly, that's true. It isn't as though anyone will be harmed if the game is delayed for longer, so we can simply stay the course.

...and if we decide to be that unit, instead of making a different unit take on that responsibility, we'll have a whole new round to discuss it. If the game should continue.

Ah—well, I meant if nobody receives any poisons. Though, I suppose . . .

[ tilts his head a lil ]

It would be sort of amusing, if no one ever sent any poisons out successfully, and the game went on for an eternity.

As long as the antidote isn't received.

[ is this luc, ]

Well, at least, if the first round ends with nothing, the chance of poisoning will increase.
