[ The door leads to a room with a big whiteboard and several colored dry-erase markers (your position colors, interestingly!) waiting for you. In permanent ink the whiteboard is divided into two sides: the left says "BATTLE PLAN" and the right says "VOTING". Under "BATTLE PLAN", there's a helpful quote of, "HOW DO WE GET THE CROWD TO LOVE US?"

Well. That's the million dollar question, isn't it?

There are fold-up chairs all around as well as a table, as if this is a Very Important Meeting. In the corner there's a crate, full of things that you might . . . need? No real weapons are inside of the crate, but if you root around, you can pretty much find anything or a cardboard version of everything - like there's no food there but you could totally get a cardboard burger.

You can leave the room if you want to, to mingle with other people. ]

Like, ah, some kind of story?

Like a play! [ actually now that he says it out loud he's getting excited, ]

Something that's a real sob story... like Romeo and Juliet, or Hamlet!

...like, ah, what?

... Romeo and Juliet? You know... "what light in yonder window breaks"?

[completely looks blank] I'm, ah, sorry, that isn't familiar at all.

... seriously? [ he doesn't sound upset just. baffled. where are you FROM. ]

Well I guess that's not a problem as long as we have a script...

I'm, ah, sorry. [will go see if there are any scripts in the crate. dig dig dig. pulls out some scripts]

[ ohhh, following and taking some to look them over ]

A whole performance is probably too much, and Shakespeare can also be a lot to absorb for the audience. There's also the matter of "roles"...

I vote Percy for Juliet.

Going straight to the Shakespearean tragedies, huh?

Well, we are SensitIV. We're not really pleasing the fans if we're not crying right?

I guess. What scenes did you have in mind?

The most obvious would be when Romeo and Juliet die together. .... though that's probably been overdone. There's Mercutio's death, Ophelia's scene in Hamlet, ... pretty much all of Titus Andronicus but that might be a bit much.

It has to be a scene that has enough parts... or, I don’t know, some of us could Greek chorus in the back?

I want to be a main character. [ JUST. BLURTS THAT OUT LIKE IT'S THE MOST NATURAL THING IN THE WORLD. ]

I think we can definitely make that happen. I don’t mind whatever role I get.

A tragedy! Don't you think that would fit us best? I wonder if they have costumes we can borrow.

Well that depends on what play we're putting on.

Oh, tons of plays with capes! Capes, cloaks, beautiful flowing dresses, you name it!
