Taisho Roman Revolution

[ The door leads to a room with a big whiteboard and several colored dry-erase markers (your position colors, interestingly!) waiting for you. In permanent ink the whiteboard is divided into two sides: the left says "BATTLE PLAN" and the right says "VOTING". Under "BATTLE PLAN", there's a helpful quote of, "HOW DO WE GET THE CROWD TO LOVE US?"

Well. That's the million dollar question, isn't it?

There are fold-up chairs all around as well as a table, as if this is a Very Important Meeting. In the corner there's a crate, full of things that you might . . . need? No real weapons are inside of the crate, but if you root around, you can pretty much find anything or a cardboard version of everything - like there's no food there but you could totally get a cardboard burger.

You can leave the room if you want to, to mingle with other people. ]

. . . Alright, so we're just pandering to the audience, huh? It would be more helpful to know what our audience likes. . . no, more importantly, it's the other units. That's who we're pandering to. . .

. . . In the end, it looks like we'll be protected regardless. So, the performance doesn't really matter . . . ?

Uh, I don't have anything concrete down, but we're idols, so we should give an idol performance. Singing and dancing, and stuff like that.

I can dance, but I've no confidence in my singing, and we don't especially have the time to test instruments for competence. Are you fine without accompaniment?

I don't know, but there's not really a choice in the matter, is there? This is a trial by fire.

[ . . . ]

We don't have enough time to choreograph anything either, but I've got something in mind. Follow my lead, alright? There's only one song I know that I know for sure, so we don't have a lot of options. . .

Oh, but that guy was playing it on his phone. Do you think we can get that?

[ pulls his phone out of his obi and taps and scrolls through some things before passing it over with a music app pulled up ]

[ hum hum hum hum hum taps it ]

he still looks a little bewildered like halfway through but ]

Lead me through the steps as a practice, then.

Sure. I just made this up on the spot though, so this might not look too good, but we can try our best.

On such short notice, there's little else to be done.

[ extends a gloved hand, palm up ]

Yeah. Right, I'm starting the song.

[ and he does, before starting to move with what he's got, making shit up as he goes ]

he copies the first movement but then clearly decides to just watch him the first time through. makes some half-movements as he watches, starting on committing the routine to memory ]

[ when the song ends he takes a breath, before: ]

Play it again. We'll have to cram it in as much as we can in this time period.

Slower once, first, or I'll not be able to follow.

Oh, sorry about that. I'll go slower this time. We'll do it at half speed.

I wouldn't say they deserve to win more than others, but I like them well enough. Is there a particular reason?

It's a coordinated front from that boy on Heart Soldier Senshi - Hurricane is his name, I think.

Everyone votes for the floor above them. That way, we won't have any "tragedies".

People's body parts were removed.

People do get fired up for bloodshed. Though it was certainly a clinical approach to it.
