[ as you exit the elevator you find yourself in a sleek control room, though the subtle drip^drip_drop of water coming from one of the corners of the room tells you that you're likely several leagues under the sea. it's fine... probably. sitting in the center of the room is an enormous table boasting a 3D grid with a display of ships that may look a familiar! to its left and to its right are more screens that seem to be showing nonsense, some of which are flashing, and there are dozens and dozens of buttons just begging to be pressed. comfortable chairs surround the table if you'd like to sit, but feel free to stand if that's your thing. at the head of the room is, perhaps, the largest computer monitor and its displaying a duplicate grid of the one on the center table... except it's blank. for now. it's these two grids that you'll be using in today's game. ]

Agreed. We want to make it difficult to find them, but if they, perchance, do... then we don't want them accidentally bumping into another. Handing over the win is not something I'm interested in. [ he doesn't need anything else exploding in his face this week. ]

Yeah, I don't want them to be able to just go in a line and get them all...

Exactly. We don't want to make ourselves sitting ducks. I can't imagine the 'cargo' in these ships is anything particularly good.

It's probably more bombs.

[ opens mouth,
closes mouth. ]

I sincerely hope not. I only have one face and that would be a lot of bombs.

[holding a hand out under the leak, then bringing his hand to his face in order to examine the water drops]

...It's an interesting choice of decoration.

...Or a sign of this room's lack of structural integrity.

...I'm not sure which one it is yet.

It could be both, although I get the feeling it's the latter... which is unfortunate.

...Mm... So this room, which is underwater, may break open and flood.

...I suppose the course of the game will determine whether or not the flooding is slow or gradual.
