Go Fish: future is now / WILD CITY / ☆ZRAEL / pep!pep!

[Your chamber is a large, glass-walled room shaped like a slice of pie. Above, the glass walls extend up into darkness. If there’s a ceiling, it’s impossible to see. There don’t appear to be any other ways out of this room, either.]

[Although the room is lit, you can’t see any particular source of light. You cannot see or hear into the other chambers where the other idols are, but you can still see distorted glimpses of whatever is on the outside of your fish bowl. What could be out there...?]

[ That's one way to put that... ]

They're all awful. But if we hold them until the third round, which is usually the last one in locked room games, we stand a better chance of matching.

Mm. We're definitely guaranteed at least two more cards this round. And if any of the other teams send cards, well--the more probability for matches. It's not a bad strategy, we just have to make sure that if we end up with no matches in the next round we pick some to send so we can be guaranteed to get new ones.

It's a big risk, but bigger reward. The safer route is just getting rid of them as we go.

As long as you're okay with the bigger risk, I'm fine with gunning for it.

We have the chance to start next round with our hands empty. I'd feel awful not taking that chance when we had it.

I have to be selfish about that one, but I shouldn't be so selfish to take everyone down over it. Maybe we should get rid of them.

There's no sense in experiencing remorse for something that hasn't even happened yet. Who knows, we might have a chance to do it again in the next round.

And also...

[ she thinks about how to phrase this. ]

Between our options, either losing the worst or winning are the best results. If we play it safe and land in the middle ground, we'll be tortured within an inch of our lives. Considering the samples present, it would be gruesome. Death would at least be a mercy.

You're right. I agree. I just hate making that choice for everyone.

You're not, though. We're making the choice together.

I know. I'll be grateful for it when I can think straight.

I guess I should have known better than to get so involved with someone on another unit. My success is his failure.
