Go Fish: BAD END=DEAD END / LiliS

[Your chamber is a large, glass-walled room shaped like a slice of pie. Above, the glass walls extend up into darkness. If there’s a ceiling, it’s impossible to see. There don’t appear to be any other ways out of this room, either.]

[Although the room is lit, you can’t see any particular source of light. You cannot see or hear into the other chambers where the other idols are, but you can still see distorted glimpses of whatever is on the outside of your fish bowl. What could be out there...?]

Passing them off on someone else runs us the risk that someone will have the other matching card and send it our way and we're stuck with it anyway, with no means to remove it.

Keeping it on the other hand runs us the risk that someone else has the other half and has either kept or sent it to someone else and we'll be stuck with it anyway.

However, keeping it at least offers us the ability to earn points, should we get the pair. Whereas passing them off limits that ability somewhat. The more cards we keep the better our chances are of matching them after all.

That seems to be the long and short of it, yes!

No good answers, especially. So I think we get rid of the ones we can't live with, pun very much intended, and keep the rest for match potential.

Not great, considering we don't know what others are inclined to do.

However, there are multiple rounds so there's still time to feel things out a bit. It would be most ideal to try and see if we can't match the ones we'd rather not live with and remove them entirely but it's a risk, too. But a risk better taken early on while there's still time anyway.

I'm for that! High risk, high-reward could bear dividends.

Precisely~ and if not, well... we'll still have time to change our tactics moving forward.

Or in the worst case we all die horribly! But what have we got to lose, really.

Chances are someone's going to die horribly either way~ at the very least I'll do my best to ensure it won't be us.

If that's easier for you than causing someone else to die horribly, sure. I happen to agree with you, though.

It's not ideal.. however, my priority first and foremost is to my unit-- and it's allies, naturally, which makes this situation ideal to say the least.

They sure have a funny way of showing it. Buuuut I'll take whatever I can get~ It means that the odds of success aren't zero at the very least.

There's very little point in sulking, so we may as well not.

That's another discussion entirely. Unless you meant that literally you're sleepy.

Ehhh? How else was I supposed to mean it?

[His lazy cat grin isn't helping though. But he answers more honestly--]

It's a medical condition. Staying awake during the day is taxing. I'd prefer not to have to put in the extra effort when I can avoid it.

...mm, well... even I have someone that it would be difficult for me, seeing them hurt too badly.

But if I showed him that kind of face, he might not be able to do what's necessarily in order for him to fight for himself.

Very logically reasoned.
