I know all of us are in the same painful position right now. But even still, I selfishly...want to protect my family.

It's not selfish to want to protect someone -- not unless they don't want to be protected. We all have people we're close to, you know?

I'm sure they are all going through the same agonizing process right now, too.

Is everyone there? Or... are there people who have not been dragged into this game, and still remain in their dorms?

There's usually at least a few people who don't get pulled in. Sometimes there's a lot. The mandatory thing is still pretty new, so I'm not really sure what affects it.

Oh-- I did hear that in the past it wasn't mandatory.

I just want to hope that my comrades are tucked away safe and sound in bed, instead.

That said, I would rather be here with the rest of you, then be at home blissfully sleeping while everyone else struggles with the weight of their decision here today.
