We were pretty freaked out during our first bad game. In fact, we all nearly jumped Sunrise because we thought she was about to be poisoned. Nobody has to worry about being brave around us.
They mix it up. We haven't had one like this since we first got here. We probably won't have another that much like it for a while. That's at least one good thing...
[She shouldn't be thinking of Levi. It's selfish--
[She wants him safe so badly it hurts but how can she, if that means dooming Hiryuu and Prim? Wednesday closes her eyes.]
I - it's silly. I don't want anybody to get hurt. I know it's not possible, but... if I choose one friend, then that means I'm ignoring another, doesn't it? If... If I pick one person, and that means hurting two-- and that's just my friends, that's not even the rest of their unit! Oh, this is impossible...!
[It can't be impossible.
[The only thing worse than saving somebody would be saving nobody at all.]
He isn't the only one who doesn't like that reputation. Anubis has concerns with it as well. Percy tries his best. I imagine Lavender might also prefer the quieter life.

[She's uncurled, just a little. Stopped crying, just.
[She's still shaking. She's still scared.]

Hey, it's okay to be scared.

[Wednesday nods. She doesn't know if she believes it, but she wants to.]
Does this happen to everyone, when they're new? Everyone get scared, don't they?
[Please tell me I'm not the only one who's been an absolute baby about this.]

[Oh, but it would be so much nicer if she just could--]
Do... they do this a lot? Just... round us all up and make us choose?

[But at least they're not just sitting here, and trying to choose who lives.]
How does anyone choose? I mean, I've only just got here... and even I know more people than that!

Do you know who you'd want to save?

... I wanted to save someone who is less likely to be saved. But if more than one team is playing the way, it gets messy.

[Wednesday swallows.]
I've got a friend in sensitIV. But, with their reputation...
[She blinks back tears. Her chest feels tight.
[She knows where that thought has to end.]

[She smiles. She doesn't mean to--
[It's something. It's not a guarantee, or even a promise. But it's something.]
I didn't know. My friend... he heard a lot of bad things about the unit. But if there's another unit they're close to...
[She breathes. That feels a little easier now, too.]
Well... hopefully they'll protect one another, then.
[Though he'll probably be arguing for someone else--
[Oh, Levi. Please stay safe.]

[Breathe. She exhales, deeply.]
I suppose things like this make people remember the good, as well.

[She giggles, sharp and anxious. That's... well, it's one way to describe what she's heard happened.]
I'm glad, though. Levi doesn't seem like a bad person, and I didn't think he could be there for no reason--
[She blushes. Shut up, Wednesday.]
I mean, I didn't think he could be the odd one out. But when the bad things are all you've heard... well. I worried.

[Wednesday. Shut up about Levi.]
Perhaps I should try and meet some of his unitmates, too. I'd like to get to know them a bit better, too...
[She sighs.]
You're right that this is messy, though. Um... what unit would you want to save? You don't have to tell me anything more than that.
