Forcing the villains to protect someone else is so out of character, they're really desperate for us to have some kind of redemption arc, aren't they?

I have no need for redemption! I do not plan to regret the decisions I have made, and that will apply to this situation!

However, a decision hardly even matters here!

This is where we get to learn how well-liked we actually are.

Well, our lives are in the hands of other units.

How well-liked we are cannot be defined from such a ridiculous thing. After all, I would annihilate every team to be certain of our survival with zero remorse, but it does not mean I am not fond of others any less. That is simply the priority given to us.

Or at least, should be given to us.

For example, there are multiple ways a person could choose to "protect" a team for survival. If I did not have any of you here, I would simply pick sensitiv or pep!Pep simply for guaranteed use of their abilities. In that sense, you could argue that perhaps that could then determine useful our unit is to others.

It does not matter!

After all, as a god, I have already decreed that our own value is priceless so there is no need to worry about that. And as a god, of course I will be loved.

I will say that you ARE correct by one thing. We cannot do anything about our own lives. Just as that trial, that farce of justice, there was nothing else you could do and there is nothing we can do here from the looks of it.
