That's the thing. People broke the mirror, thinking they would kill the creature.
Instead that set it free. And now late at night it wanders the halls and alleys, the small slim places, in the shadows, just out of sight. Watching and waiting for a chance to steal someone's face and replace them.
The gremlin is free, he can go where ever he likes now. He took the power of a million people looking into the mirror with self hatred and made himself strong.
