Nine-Nine Heart - Run 1

[It's time for a new an exciting place, right? A land of adventure and fun and excitement!

Wait? Then why does this look like Tokyo-F. Like a Tokyo-F that has seen better days.

A dark purple haze has settled over the city, thick and suffocating, oppressive and heavy. The sky above is filled with yawning teeth and blinking eyes stare back at you. Buildings lie in tatters and their remains litter the landscape.

A few proud buildings still stand tall! The most prominent one among them - THE GAME TOWER. Though it is sporting more of an evil villain castle vibe than you remember. And it certainly used to be taller and not leaking out that purple smoke filling the air. Nonetheless it stands as a beacon in the city, the focal point in the ruin around you.

A voice echos in your head. "Find the Dark Master."

GAME START!]

[opening the window, then.] Ah, hello...?

[The ghosts don't talk in words even though you can communicate with them. They talk in feelings. In hunches. You can feel their desire for revenge. It drips from them. Consumes their very being.]

...someone wronged you all, didn't they. [very quiet.] Wronged you and did not even bury you, did they...?

[They screech in rage --- is that a yes? --- and one comes close to the window staring intently at Persephone's face.]

...I do not know who wronged you. But I can give you offerings, to soothe your painful rest. The last rites you should have had, or blood to drink, or both...?

[Upon the words 'last rites' the spirit in front of you seems to go into a range and attempts to dart through him.

Make a defense check.]

[does not flinch, even in the face of the ghost's rage, and starts to sing, soft and sweet and pure. an elegy in shattered crystal notes.

defense check: 1 2 4 vs. defense of 7.]

[The ghosts stop short of him, it's anger momentarily dissipated. A few more come in and surround him but not in a menacing way.]

[beautiful music tames the angry ghost? but he's going to keep singing for them.]

[Then they are going to try to lead him outside.]

[going to gesture to Cobalt and Thorn, to indicate that he's going to follow the ghosts outside, and is...going to follow them outside, still singing.]
