[It's time for a new an exciting place, right? A land of adventure and fun and excitement!

Wait? Then why does this look like Tokyo-F. Like a Tokyo-F that has seen better days.

A dark purple haze has settled over the city, thick and suffocating, oppressive and heavy. The sky above is filled with yawning teeth and blinking eyes stare back at you. Buildings lie in tatters and their remains litter the landscape.

A few proud buildings still stand tall! The most prominent one among them - THE GAME TOWER. Though it is sporting more of an evil villain castle vibe than you remember. And it certainly used to be taller and not leaking out that purple smoke filling the air. Nonetheless it stands as a beacon in the city, the focal point in the ruin around you.

A voice echos in your head. "Find the Dark Master."

GAME START!]

[shakes his head.]

The Dark Master sets up the game and runs it. The players have to navigate their characters through the board's hazards to find the Dark Master's in-game representation and defeat them to win.

[well that still gets to what he was mostly going for, which was 'is this an individual thing or should we work together', so]

It would only benefit us to stay together then, right?

Probably. Though he's not going to play fair, so who knows how much that will help...

[not that he's quite sure who 'he' is referring to in this case yet, aside from presumably this Dark Master fellow, because he's not really sure what's going on in the first place, but he can figure that out as they go]

Mm, in any case, it would be better not to be alone against another horde of zombies...

...I'm going to guess we'll want to head in that direction, then? [indicating vaguely toward the Game Tower]

It seems like it. But if we go straight there, we might miss out on helpful items or NPCs with information.

That would make sense, I suppose... How would we know which way would be best, though?

We don't, really.

[gestures and, another version of Anubis appears, hovering slightly in the air.]

We'll just have to do our best. And use the powers we've been given.

...In terms of the powers given to me, um... I can talk to ghosts. Surely that can be of some help.

[especially considering that there's a route that's all about ghosts, it looks like...]

Oh! That is useful. [hmm] There's so much ground to cover, though...

[He doesn't really want to split up. ...Well, more accurately, he's a little nervous about being alone, if only because he doesn't think he could fight a whole zombie horde by himself.

...That said, there is a lot of ground to cover, yes. And Anubis is the one with experience here. And... well, he can see the value of asking the locals for information...

You're welcome to come. We'll have to head back this way anyway, if we want to get to the Game Tower eventually. But if you want to head forward, then that's okay too.

To be honest, I'm not sure what I want to do... But I'll stay with you, then, if that's all right.
