[It's time for a new an exciting place, right? A land of adventure and fun and excitement!

Wait? Then why does this look like Tokyo-F. Like a Tokyo-F that has seen better days.

A dark purple haze has settled over the city, thick and suffocating, oppressive and heavy. The sky above is filled with yawning teeth and blinking eyes stare back at you. Buildings lie in tatters and their remains litter the landscape.

A few proud buildings still stand tall! The most prominent one among them - THE GAME TOWER. Though it is sporting more of an evil villain castle vibe than you remember. And it certainly used to be taller and not leaking out that purple smoke filling the air. Nonetheless it stands as a beacon in the city, the focal point in the ruin around you.

A voice echos in your head. "Find the Dark Master."

[ makes himself a bit cold to the touch, since king's kind of adverse to it. maybe he'll remove his hand??? ]

[ ALL OF THIS WAS ALL ACTUALLY SAID OUT LOUD BECAUSE MEL FORGOT POWERS WERE OFF!!!!!!

King does, in fact, sharply pull his hand back. And looks kind of stricken that Yugi did that in the first place. ]

[ ???????!?!?!? ]

[puzzlers]

[ I FORGOT TOO, GG ME. ]

[ keeps it on the colder side. ]

[ he's just going to walk a bit closer to the door. ]

I should have said something. And, here, I thought I had gotten stronger. [ a mocking bit of laughter. ]

[puzzlekeeper]

[ King watches him move that way but doesn't follow, since the message was telegraphed loud and clear. ]

Yugi. What are you talking about?

[puzzlers]

Remember what I said during all that, about having to show you something, ...

[ stands in front of the door and looks up at the eye. ]

[puzzlekeeper]

Of course I remember.

What do you know about this door that I don't?

[puzzlers]

T- Too much.

[ but here isn't the place he wants to talk about this, because he's not going to be able to hold himself together. ]

As soon as we get out of here I think we should go to, well, you know. W- We have to... talk...

[puzzlekeeper]

[ Okay, but what if they didn't? That's the only reaction he can summon to this, based on Yugi's reaction.

But since he never, ever goes for the self-serving option: ]

[puzzlers]

[ look, he doesn't want to, and he'll hoping that between now and then they'll just forget about it, but he's sure king has a lot of questions. ]

[ this is not the segue he imagined. ]

[ b- but maybe it'll help king understand why he'd rather stay in hell than go back home. ]

Either way do you think we can go to... [ our hideout? ]

[puzzlekeeper]

Of course. Whatever you want.

[puzzlers]

[ he's trying not to make a scene, but he's doing his best not to cry. ]

[ Okay but he can clearly see how on the verge Yugi is.

[ he can approach without a problem. ]

[ in fact yugi is going to reach behind himself and grope blindly at the air until he's gotten a hold of king. he's still on the chillier side, but that's because he's spaced out since he dropped his temperature. ]

[puzzlers]

[ he'll warm himself up just so when he throws his arms around king he doesn't shy away. ]

I hadn't meant to. Not because of you. Because of me. It's my fault.

[puzzlekeeper]

[ He doesn't shy away, but he's definitely getting mixed signals here about what it is Yugi wants ]

[ "Blaming yourself," he wants to say, but it's not like he even knows what Yugi's this upset about ]

[puzzlers]

[ he had hoped to keep all of this a secret from king a bit longer but it seems that talking about it is inevitable. he doesn't get a choice. again. but it wouldn't be fair to keep him in the dark when he was just as much a part of that travesty as he was. he doesn't know what the hell he was thinking back then and if that's the result, then he never wants to know. ]

[ keeping his head down and his eyes shut yugi just nods. he's fighting off the quiver he knows will shake his voice if he opens his mouth, so he inevitably doesn't say anything. ]
