[It's time for a new an exciting place, right? A land of adventure and fun and excitement!

Wait? Then why does this look like Tokyo-F. Like a Tokyo-F that has seen better days.

A dark purple haze has settled over the city, thick and suffocating, oppressive and heavy. The sky above is filled with yawning teeth and blinking eyes stare back at you. Buildings lie in tatters and their remains litter the landscape.

A few proud buildings still stand tall! The most prominent one among them - THE GAME TOWER. Though it is sporting more of an evil villain castle vibe than you remember. And it certainly used to be taller and not leaking out that purple smoke filling the air. Nonetheless it stands as a beacon in the city, the focal point in the ruin around you.

A voice echos in your head. "Find the Dark Master."

Well, well, when everyone you know is scheming for the top it does put alliances in a different perspective. Friends are a luxury. Though most of the others were too flashy for my taste. There is a reason why my domain is the Shadows.

It has its ups and downs. But pretty well, overall.

...You know, someone asked me if I thought caring about people was a weakness, the other day. Obviously, as an assassin, I know it can be. I've assassinated people's 'weaknesses.'

But I think it's more of a weakness to avoid good things just because you're scared of that.

Scared? Hardly. Prioritizing. Giving up something that might be fleetingly enjoyable for more long term stability.

A life not bound to the existence of any of you.

So your plan is to sit on your throne and feel proud of yourself for not caring about anyone?

You have it half right.

I will enjoy sitting on my throne and seeing the world before me as mine to do with as I wish. Perhaps I will let it flourish. Perhaps I will let it rot. But I will no longer be bound by petty rituals and rules of old.

You can not be bound by petty rituals and rules without taking over the world and subjugating everyone or whatever.

Whether I approve or not isn't important. I'm just telling you that if your problem is rules and rituals, it seems a little pathetic to need to have the world at your feet before you can escape them.

If you can provide me another alternative, I am listening. Though Hell's wish might be able to do undo some of these restrictions.

The same thing that is holding everyone here. But I'll speak plainly if it helps. If granted a wish, I will ask for my full abilities to be restored.
