Nine-Nine Heart - Run 2

[It's time for a new an exciting place, right? A land of adventure and fun and excitement!

Wait? Then why does this look like Tokyo-F. Like a Tokyo-F that has seen better days.

A dark purple haze has settled over the city, thick and suffocating, oppressive and heavy. The sky above is filled with yawning teeth and blinking eyes stare back at you. Buildings lie in tatters and their remains litter the landscape.

A few proud buildings still stand tall! The most prominent one among them - THE GAME TOWER. Though it is sporting more of an evil villain castle vibe than you remember. And it certainly used to be taller and not leaking out that purple smoke filling the air. Nonetheless it stands as a beacon in the city, the focal point in the ruin around you.

A voice echos in your head. "Find the Dark Master."

GAME START!]

None of you should be complaining. The raw, untapped power I possess dwarfs that of your jailers. They simply have the upper hand at the moment.

His inner demon I suppose, but that implies that one can exist without the other. I am one of the larger fragments that make up his soul just as he is.

Though I am my own entity at the same time. Something that has existed before your history ever started and will continue to exist long after your history has ended.

...Are you stuck in here? Do you get to do stuff or are you constantly stuck on ride-along duty? Or'm I thinking about this too literal?

I am stuck. We constantly fight over who has control of the board and without his memories, he doesn't remember why I am here. The leverage I once had has diminished.

Oh, and before you get the wrong idea, he came to me.

This infernal place will not allow me to express them, but yes. I remember. I loathe that these thoughts can't reach the surface without assistance from a thrice cursed phone application.

Is it weird, remembering him when he can't remember you?

It's infuriating. I will ensure an extra helping of agony for those in power who thought this would be amusing.

Maybe they didn't know you were in there. Since you only come out sometimes...assuming you're the main one with the "everything must go" ideas, anyways.

Demons are demons. Why would they care for each other? They simply claw for power one way or another. These Princes have no taste for the finer things in life.

As in what, wining, dining, eternal torture...? Since I feel like they got that part down so far.

[Hmmm. Probably because the contractee was dead. He does indeed try to speak his name, but it gets all garbled.]

Yeah, that's not going to happen. Did you have to go searching for like an ultimate nerd to be a host or do you just find the right guy and make 'em read a bunch of fantasy novels and D&D sourcebooks or something?

I did not choose him. He came to me. His other though. That was our choice. We rejected quite a few before settling on him.

Guess it makes sense to be choosy when you're already sharing with one guy...

[Pauses]

Huhhh, what a silver tongue. What, you need my vote for Imeeji's next top demon? 'Cause you are in the lead, even if you did try to squash us with a giant monster.

I want what everyone else here wants. True freedom. Though to get that I would need a wish. You are in need of yours, but if you find an unfortunate soul who doesn't... well, have them talk to me. I'm sure we can come to an arrangement.
