Nine-Nine Heart - Run 2

[It's time for a new an exciting place, right? A land of adventure and fun and excitement!

Wait? Then why does this look like Tokyo-F. Like a Tokyo-F that has seen better days.

A dark purple haze has settled over the city, thick and suffocating, oppressive and heavy. The sky above is filled with yawning teeth and blinking eyes stare back at you. Buildings lie in tatters and their remains litter the landscape.

A few proud buildings still stand tall! The most prominent one among them - THE GAME TOWER. Though it is sporting more of an evil villain castle vibe than you remember. And it certainly used to be taller and not leaking out that purple smoke filling the air. Nonetheless it stands as a beacon in the city, the focal point in the ruin around you.

A voice echos in your head. "Find the Dark Master."

Well, B didn't immediately give me an earful when I arrived so it couldn't have been that bad. He actually even looked a little worried.

...was he right to worry?

[Motions to the fashion disaster version of himself.]

He's my inner demon in a sense. Both literally and figuratively. Please smack me hard if I ever sound that cheesy.

I wonder how many other people's inner demons look like themselves.

Probly some of em, at least.

But, uh. Who were all those other dudes?

I can't answer that. The thief was probably me, right? I had that memory. So was the mage though he didn't look like that the one time I saw him.

I can only guess we are surrounded by my past.

Guess that comes with being a person that lives in a gold artifact and possess people.

Well, cat's out of the bag now.

Something happened. I don't know but he was sealed in that puzzle for thousands of years. Yugi was the rightful person to put it back together and when he did, they started having a time share. That's why they look so similar. Well, kind of.

The same goes for me and Anubis except I was sealed in the ring. This place apparently just gave me a copy of his body when they brought me back to life.
