When the game starts, you find something grabbing onto your ankle and dragging you under the ballpit until you find yourself sitting on a disco floor platform with your team. It is only being held up by eleven balloons.

You make decisions on a cool arcade machine where you can SELECT A TEAM'S BALLOON. If a character is blind or has no hands or smth, you can assume things can be read to you and you can automatically pick through your speech. Thanks, Alexa.

If you look over the platform, you can see a lot of sparkling rainbow spikes below.

...How many teams do you want to protect, Sunset-chan? Which ones do you not want to hit?

[takes out her phone to look at the rules again, deliberating]

... Two balloons seems like the fairest, and I'd like to avoid hitting Taisho and future is now.

So far, we've eliminated Taisho, future is now, Alcheme, ☆zrael, bad end, and HSS from our targets.

I don't think Wednesday-chan would want to hit SensitIV either.

That leaves us with LiliS, Wild City, avante, and Baritones.

I... I'd like to avoid avante and Wild city, if possible. But they're not deal breakers. We'll have to target at least one of them, if we only have four people we can hit in three rounds.

Mmm.... and that's not taking into account how hard we get attacked or not...

If we have seven teams we don't want to hit, that's seven teams that likely won't want to hit us in return. So we have that at least. We're in a better position than most.

Should we only pop one balloon per round, then?

...Maybe that's something we should put to a vote?

If we're as lucky as we usually are, just one would be fine... Might as well start that way...

It's not exactly luck... we usually never get targeted in these games.

That can change anytime! Isn't that the definition of luck?!

It's not just luck. It's trust.

I have a brother on Alcheme, and a boyfriend on ☆zrael, and both of them have said they won't target me.

The others have friends that they're trusting not to target them either. It won't always be the case that they can protect us, but, for now at least, we're putting our hopes in that.

I'd like to avoid LiliS, but like you said we're... not going to have a choice on these last few teams...

It's... it's not a dealbreaker, but it seems like Baritones is a definite...

We can take LiliS off the list, but that would mean leaving ourselves completely undefended. Are you okay with that, Yugi-kun?

If we pick two, it will protect us this round. I'm not sure we'd need it to start with, we don't want to be the ones raising the stakes, and we've got enough friends on other teams that we don't need to play hard at first.

If we need to pick two, we could consider putting LiliS back in depending on how the next round goes?

I don't think we'll get targeted enough to make use of a protect for this round, so, yeah, let's just go with one for now. And then we'll see what happens. [ nods. ]
