When the game starts, you find something grabbing onto your ankle and dragging you under the ballpit until you find yourself sitting on a disco floor platform with your team. It is only being held up by eleven balloons.

You make decisions on a cool arcade machine where you can SELECT A TEAM'S BALLOON. If a character is blind or has no hands or smth, you can assume things can be read to you and you can automatically pick through your speech. Thanks, Alexa.

If you look over the platform, you can see a lot of sparkling rainbow spikes below.

We seem to be doing all right. Now that we know, nobody can throw all their attacks at us at once, we shouldn't have that many people left to gun for us.

The maths is certainly in our favour. Any preference on which team we target for this round?

I guess Wild City? If we're taking Avante off the table. Baritones is more likely to be at risk now.

If they're more at risk, then doesn't that mean they're at risk of not being around next time?

I need to know what our objective here is. Are we trying to mitigate damage? Isn't that why we chose Lilis? I will go with whatever people need. But I need to understand our goal.

There is no mitigating damage in a game like this. Half the teams will die. My objective is for us to have enough people to vote for each round, without having to resort to throwing our friends under the bus. Which means we need to know if wild city or baritones are more likely to survive this round.

My objective is to protect the rest of you. If people are worried about our chances, maybe we should consider targeting both.

... all that's left is Avante. I know we don't want to. But... there's no other way to protect Pep this round unless we hit two.

What if Cobalt-san doesn't agree to that? We should ask him before saying it can only be avante.

There's still 9 units that can target us, right? But this isn't about staying afloat, if by the time the game is up we're one of the units with the least balloons left, we'll die anyway...

Can. That doesn't mean they will.

I'm not saying they'd do it because they want to, but if they're playing to protect themselves, they'll also have a limited pool of targets to pick from.

I guess what I mean is... I don't want to end up dying anyway because we didn't protect ourselves... the rules say that half of the units have to die no matter what.

If you don't think the numbers favor us, I'm not against protecting the team.

I don't know if the numbers favor us. This is pretty much just... choosing blindly whether we want to protect ourselves or other people. It's awful.

I want to protect you. That's who I want to protect. Obviously, I'm going to do what I can to avoid hurting my friends. But you guys are my priority. And Dawn is anxious.
