[ The door leads to a room with a big whiteboard and several colored dry-erase markers (your position colors, interestingly!) waiting for you. In permanent ink the whiteboard is divided into two sides: the left says "BATTLE PLAN" and the right says "VOTING". Under "BATTLE PLAN", there's a helpful quote of, "HOW DO WE GET THE CROWD TO LOVE US?"

Well. That's the million dollar question, isn't it?

There are fold-up chairs all around as well as a table, as if this is a Very Important Meeting. In the corner there's a crate, full of things that you might . . . need? No real weapons are inside of the crate, but if you root around, you can pretty much find anything or a cardboard version of everything - like there's no food there but you could totally get a cardboard burger.

You can leave the room if you want to, to mingle with other people. ]

[He takes the fake sword and considers it. The weight is all wrong, but he swings it a couple of times to get a feel for it.

Once he’s gotten used to it, he changes his stance and does some actual kata. His movements are fast and strong like in his memory. Maybe his muscle memory isn’t completely gone because this feels natural enough to him.]

You feel comfortable choreographing a fight with that thing?

[He picks up a cardboard trident, mostly for being the biggest and most threatening weapon at hand, and points it at Abi.]

He considers for a moment...and then nods. He feels comfortable enough with the weapon, at least. And if everyone is working together he should be able to figure something out.]

[Wire spins the trident around a few times, trying to get a feel for it. Having a staff feels oddly familiar, in a nostalgic way? Maybe he could get a decent grasp on this.]

Okay. So, let's start off with this-- [Going for a forward stab, then a swing and downward thrust of the weapon. Abi could react in whatever way felt natural]

[He will attempt to parry and counter, sort of instinctively trying to keep the combat close so Wire doesn't gain too much advantage with the reach of the trident.]

[Good instincts. That doesn't mean he's going to take it easy on Abi, though - if this was going to be a show, it had to be a close fight.]

Now, how're you planning to win? It's gotta be something big.

[The problem here is Abi has no idea how to fight for show, dramatics aren't really his thing. But his instincts tell him to try to disarm Wire, so that's what he'll try to do.]

[Wire's just going to have to make it dramatic for him, then. When the trident is knocked out of his hand, he practically flings halfway across the stage.]
