[ The elevator opens up to a room spacious enough to house the whole unit comfortably, but with no furniture to speak of except a touchscreen podium near the far wall, displaying a row of four larger-than-life mahjong tiles on a red background. On the left side of the screen is a square that says TRADE. The walls and floor of the room are nearly checkered with metal panels, out of place against the rest of the marble flooring and unremarkable off-white walls.

The elevator doors close behind you. ]

That is also assuming that they will use their highest piece on us. The odds of that are one in eight, for any given tile, and the odds of choosing the highest piece is one in nine . . .

. . . No, one in eight. Every tile but the 9 point tile will affect only one person, but the 9 point tile will affect an entire unit. I doubt - I very much doubt that anyone will choose that tile.

[ Yeah his eyes are glazing over, Lucy. ]

Why do you doubt that? [ shooting straight to the questioning the morals of the other units part ]

Only one unit actually broke any arms in that bonus round, and it was something they did to themselves. Moreover, there was panic when Santa-san brought that knife.

Certainly, there may be one or two units that are not against choosing a 9, but that requires firstly having a 9 in their hand to use - and then also choosing to pin it on us, which is another low possibility.

Out of the nine teams that exist, at least Heart Soldier Senshi, BAD END=DEAD END, AlcheME!, and Taisho Roman Revolution . . . At least these units, I'm confident that they will only choose such a tile under the greatest of duress, as opposed to out of their own choice. That already takes away half of the units in the running . . .

.................... ...... .... [ yeah alright all of that is pretty sound but, ]

There's that guy I punched in the face. He was on Wild City, I think. What if he targets us?

[ you know, because of the aforementioned face punching. ]

Then the odds are less than half that he would have been able to obtain a 9 point tile, and if he were to choose a 9 point tile, it does not matter what tile we were to pick, because that tile of his will go through anyway.

So say we pick 6 and he has anything higher than that. We're only protected if that goes through, and if he does pick a 9...

[ he's. muttering to himself but he ultimately just. is not understanding anything here. ]

Damnit, I just want to get out of here and murder that asshole putting us up to this. [ brain short circuiting. only violence now. ]

. . . If we pick a 7, then we'll be more likely to be protected . . .

[ weh ]

It is a difficult situation to be in . . .

[ disgruntled ] A seven, then. That's fine. But if we get hit I'm retaliating.
