ViewScream: pep!pep!
The bulkhead seals behind you; there is a brief warning buzzer before THEMiS’s A.I. pleasantly informs you that you have been “quarantined for your protection.”
A specialized room is arrayed before you, and you suddenly find you are aware of not only of the game’s rules, but also of a collection of specialized knowledge suitable to your team’s Role.
ROLE: HELM
Available solutions:
To your right are a series of lockers containing changes of clothes to more Role-appropriate ones—though they still contain just enough elements to match your unit aesthetic. You may use these if you wish (if so, they will not disappear after the game ends). To your left, there is what appears to be a comms station. It seems you’ll be using this to contact the other units.
It quickly becomes apparent, in fact, that you will very much need their help—

Re: DISCUSSION
[ he turns his head aside to cough too, shifting so he can cover his mouth with his hand and... that's a lot of blood. ]
[ d- dying sure... hurts... ]
Anything for you, Wednesday.
Re: DISCUSSION
[The cough seems to have gone critical. It's thicker now, choked with something, and it rattles around and around in her chest before breaking, finally, free. She convulses with it, clinging tighter to Yugi, as if it will somehow help...
[Maybe it will be something else that kills them. Something fast.]
You too... Yugi-kun.
[Talking hurts, too. Maybe she should stop.]
Re: DISCUSSION
[ yugi keeps a hand over his mouth, which is now splattered with more than blood. there's a mess of bloody sinewy tissue in his palm, which he immediately shakes off, his vision blurring at the sight, but only because he feels fucken sick. ]
[ he just shakes his head at her response. no more talking. just shut your eyes, wednesday, and it'll all be over soon. ]
Re: DISCUSSION
[Yugi feels too hot, but his skin is clammy and cool to the touch. She clings to him anyway: it's a comfort, it's a relief just to know that someone else is there...]
I'm scared...
[It's a whisper, a breath. It doesn't stop it from tearing at her.
[She's slipping, and she can feel it. Is this, Wednesday wonders, what she's been wondering about all along: is this what it feels like to die? It feels only inevitable, now, and she almost welcomes it. It, at least, would be a release.]
