[ The elevator opens up to a room spacious enough to house the whole unit comfortably, but with no furniture to speak of except a touchscreen podium near the far wall, displaying a row of four larger-than-life mahjong tiles on a red background. On the left side of the screen is a square that says TRADE. The walls and floor of the room are nearly checkered with metal panels, out of place against the rest of the marble flooring and unremarkable off-white walls.

It is less of a set-up than it could have been, but why on earth would they trade this hand away?

It's possible they objected to the seven and thought their chances were better for getting lower numbers. Or they wanted to protect their own.
