There's a lot of reasons not to. You don't want to be responsible for ending a life for a moment, you can't bring yourself to do it out of disgust or fear, it isn't socially acceptable, and so on. Might be a good time to think which of those reasons is yours.

For now, let's just say I've been down here getting tortured for a while, so I can deal with little more torture, but I'd rather not deal with having cut a dude's throat when I could've said "no". That's new and icky.
