I doubt we have to come out of the gate strong, since that could paint a target on our back and we could see who's targeting who and maybe, I don't know, get a feel for things?

It's true that it could paint a target on our back, but the rules say that "idols will be notified of their points score" and the which punishments they'll have to deal with.

The fact that these rooms are considered private means that they probably want the anonymity and the paranoia to set in.

That's my thoughts on the game's concept, anyway.

...so it's all anon. I guess depending on who's here people could make assumptions about who instigated what and which unit targeted another... but that's when, like you mentioned, the paranoia's going to set in.

How do you think we should start off then?

Yeah, exactly.

I think we should avoid the severe phobia for now, but my personal top three options would be the irritability, hearing loss and lost sense of balance cards. I do think that we should at least play cards since we might be easy targets since we're new and avoid teams that we as a group agree not to aim for.

I think we should play something too. I'm sure the consequences for not doing so will be worse than anything these cards have to offer.

I agree. Have we heard from everybody? There have to be a couple of teams left and then we can go from there...

Not to mention that we want to potentially, at the very least, cancel out a few hits.

We would have to guess who's targeting us.

Does anybody know who might want to do that? Because that could definitely be beneficial. [ he knows a lot of people are probably going to be avoiding 10iv thanks to his brother, so he's not sure who would target them... ]

Based on what someone else said, we might have good reason to believe that someone on YOU-kai might target us.

We should probably target them then. And maybe with a throwaway card...? Like, one we kinda just want to get rid of and don't really want to use on anybody, since it'll just be null and void if they end up targeting us too.

It's not like we can't save those cards besides, and refresh our hand if we're feeling cornered. [ at the cost of three points, but that's not too bad. ] And it's only the first round. We're not that desperate yet.

I think that's a good plan. We don't want to show our hand too early, but we do want to try to get as much information as we can.

Yeah, we could play it that way. It's hard to get a feel for how hard everyone's gonna go right off the bat until a round passes by, too.
