[ With neither button pressed, the unit color-lit floor opens up to swallow the loser whole before the tile swings back up, as if a cartoonish trap door. The door unlocks with a click, sliding open for both of you.

You’re stronger, you’re braver, you’re definitely cooler. So why? Why does it feel like you can never win. You stare at a mirror, staring at yourself wearing a suit. She’s smiling at you, and you punch the glass in anger. Even in this world, you are always worth less than those around you.

Even your unit doesn’t like you, right? You’re not [_________]. They have friends and lovers all over the place now, but you? You’re just [weak] a cat, and you’re seen as nothing more than a pet. You know because you watched them protect Kohime instead of protecting you. You should have expected this. And yet. Maybe you’ll never learn.

The face of Shadow Weaver appears in your mind, mouth widening into a smile that shows how clearly she sees the truth: you’re nothing more than a broken toy.

Well fine.

You’ll just kill all of them.

And you do. It means putting up a fight of course, and it isn’t easy. It leaves you with broken ribs, broken hands, deep claw marks from the one who shares your face. It will certainly leave a scar. Still, with every battle you win, the feeling never leaves you.

Instead, you’re just more and more lonely.

Because not a single one of them saw you. No one looked you in the eyes when you delivered that final blow.

Ah yeah, of course they’re gonna paint you as the criminal again. You know, a criminal for simply making sure that you and those you care about survive. They do the same exact thing and yet, you’re the bad guys. You can’t help but laugh bitterly.

You would never expect anything different.

You watch them drag those who are important to you away. Your unit is being taken away also. You don’t know where they’re going, but as soon as you hear a scream, you immediately start to hiss and fight at those who are holding you down.

You’re in handcuffs that you can’t break free. You try your best, destroying your wrists in the process, but you can’t just SIT there when they’re taking what belongs to you. You yell, you try to fight, but your captors turn their back to you. Someone more important is heading your way, and you see the familiar face staring right at you with a smile.

You can’t breathe.

You could call for help, couldn’t you? But do you even know how? You try to speak, but your voice cracks. They won’t come here to save you. They never came to save you. You don’t want them to save you.

As they carry you to live out your “punishment”, your eyes can’t break away from Shadow Weaver who only smiled a smile that seems to carry so much love. What a fucking liar.

They throw you into deep water where the further you sink, the light slowly disappears. As the water fills your lungs, you never close your eyes. The last image you remember is the face of someone who saw you as a “thing” with no value.
