[he immediately shifts his position to meet her halfway, bringing his tonfa up to block any incoming blow while swinging the other one at her waist from the side for a 3]

[she is already midswing when he hits--adjusts to try and block some of the damage but ends up barely slicing him for 1]

[lets out a grunt at the stab that probably gets him somewhere painful, and he staggers back, but doesn't back down. he brings one tonfa up to try and swing at her face, for a 2]

Shit--

[The tonfa catches her glasses, knocking into her temple and skidding them off her face, and the momentum knocks her to the side as well. She catches herself, crouching low, and just stares up at him--past him. Lunges forward-- Stays low, nicking his leg for 1, but attempting to duck under and past him--she might be outclassed, but that doesn't mean she can't go for the button]

[he aims to swing at her, but his movements are halted slightly by his wound and he misses her by a hair as she darts past him for the button]

[She doesn't hesitate, racing over to slam her hand down on the button. And then she just stands there, not continuing to attack, but not attempting to cower or flee.]
