[ The room is BRIGHT YELLOW, as all the rooms you will enter are. Black tiles make up the floor, changing to your unit's color when pressure is placed on them. There is a button in the very center of the room standing on a podium; it's slightly smaller than palm-sized.]

Hallucinations - Artemis, cw: strangulation, strings
.
.
.
You’re on the stage, waiting for the audition to begin. Faces of the judges are staring at you, waiting for you to perform. You have to succeed because if you don’t, how else will you prove to the world of your own existence? They all left you behind so you can only do this yourself [Didn’t you leave them behind first?].
The scene begins. You try to sing, but you realize immediately that nothing will come out. The string around your neck tightens as you try to sing. That’s right, you sabotaged yourself, didn’t you? You tied that string around your own neck. 9 strings around your neck, each one a reminder of the birthday you shared with-
With no one [the most] important [person] anyway.
You have to sing. You struggle to perform at least one note. Every breath you try to take, a string cuts deeper into your neck. Blood starts to pour, but you can’t stop now. But you did it, you managed to produce one note . . . but the judges have already left. The burning sensation in your throat doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as the tears in your eyes.
You failed again.
The curtains fall around you as you slam your fist against the stage in frustration. Again and again and again, until your hand becomes numb. Why [who did you sacrifice everything for? It was for [me] [you] . . .
