Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 1)

In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.

TIME UNTIL REBOOT:


And then you wake up.

As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!

Ohhhhh, yes! I do think so! You are very good at it, too, it looks like! Did you do this by yourself so far?

[Coming over to sit down next to him.]

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ He scoots over to the side to make room for her, looking very proud of himself as he does so. ] Of course. I'm a genius. [ And he grabs another piece and starts trying to fit it together. Did you know 3D puzzles suck? Of course you did. ]

You are very smart! If you are younger Intensity, that is simply the truth. If you are not younger Intensity, I still believe that you are a genius!

[She takes a look at the puzzle.]

Did you want any help or did you want to work on it by yourself?

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

Mmmm... [ He leans back and taps his cheek with a forefinger. ] It's not that I don't want help, but... I think I'm missing a few pieces. [ By few, he means A LOT. A LOT a lot. ]

[nohalation]

[Holds up TWO PIECES!! How can this be?]

I have some!! You can have them!

[ How can this be????] ] Really? Where did you get those?

I woke up with them! If I give them to the side who has the most pieces at the end, I can win the game. Also changing to Intensity's central programming without causing a core dump, but I don't know what any of that means so I'm gonna ignore it!

The obvious answer is Intensity will always win so I should be giving the pieces to him if I want to win, too! But most importantly!

Winning is fun, but it's fun because it means we get to play games together.

[ Fun is still such a weird concept BUT HE'S TRYING. Holds out the unfinished puzzle for her to put her pieces into. ]

[Is about to but!!]

Oh, just one second if you do not mind!

[ Just. Stares. At. Her. ] Angel. I'm right here. [ Howdy hi. This is the True Heart. Wowee! ]

...WOWEE!! There aren't MORE of you?! Darn it . . .

Oh, but it is not that I need more than one Intensity, I just did not wish for anyone to be left out!

[Claps hands together.]

That's okay then!

Oh, there are more of us. There's--- [ And he starts counting them on his fingers. ] One from the past, one from the present, and one from the future. Did you want to meet them?

[nohalation]

Oh yes! If you do not mind!

Past is fine!

[ Is past Intensity fine, though???? Either way, little!Intensity will take Angel's hand in his and lead her out of the lab ]
