Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 1)

In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.

TIME UNTIL REBOOT:


And then you wake up.

As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!

Intensity is very strong, too. You should play with him sometime. When you finally reach other, you'll both be very happy.

Is he now? He hasn't been able to beat me yet? [ He draws his opening hand with a flourish. ] Are you sure you can do better?

Oh yes! I am certain! Because I am having fun, and when I have the most fun, I win!

[ Did you know that this was supposed to be an unwinnable encounter and as such I don't have an angry/unbelieving season-0! Atem icon prepared?

Now you do.

Because while she is not capable of trouncing the King of Games thoroughly into the dirt, she certainly is capable of beating him.

And that has never once happened to him in his goddamn life. ]

[She's reaching over to pick up Smol, hopping in excitement! Although she had all of the confidence, there were most likely points where she realized this was 1000000% tougher than it looked. And she was nervous!!

But then she did in fact win. Or as she would say:]

Look! We won, we won! We did it!

[Two victors, somehow??]

Wowowowow, that was a lot of hard work though, I did not think it would be that hard, but that is why King is very strong! But see, we did it together!

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ Smol can't just believe what the fuck just happened. WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED? ]

[ King also looks like "what the fuck just happened", but a win is a win. And he tosses Angel a single puzzle piece before fading from sight. ]

Yes . . . it was very good. Please wait, King, you'll find a lot more good games later on in the future.

[Smiles as she watches him fade away, a strange emotion on her face.]

I'll be able to learn more games too because Intensity is the one who has taught me how to play.

And this was his deck, too. I wonder if I would have won without it. So we won together . . .

[She goes over to place this piece into Smol's hands, too.]

We'll be able to complete this puzzle real soon. It's exciting, isn't it?

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ He takes that puzzle piece, staring at it for a long while. Sure, maybe it doesn't belong to his Heart puzzle. Or. Maybe it does. His fingers curl around it carefully. ] I don't know what happens when I complete it.

[nohalation]

[Taps chin thoughtfully.]

I do not know either. I know it is an option of "winning" but it never does really say what happens to you or anything else. But to me, you always work so hard to achieve your goals, I want to help when I can!

And that is more important to me than winning this "game". It is still winning, but it is winning in a different way!

So we should find the Past now, right?

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

Right. [ And he grips her hand again. This time tighter than ever before. ] In the next room, don't stray too far from me. Okay?

[Holds a hand as she goes to walk forward, looking pensive]
