As for Christmas-- it is a foreign holiday where I come from and strange to me. But I thought the spirit of that holiday was special. I don't think you should be required to take on one position. But if you enjoyed the experience, then perhaps you could help remind people of how they felt during that holiday through the year? Or, if you were to help take upon yourself the success of holidays in general. It may give you something more concrete to do if you feel the need to be active.
I am not sure how helpful that was, but I hope it helped in some compacity. If you ever feel troubled, it's also fine to simply yell defiantly at the sun and proclaim your desires and existence. It may prove to be a good release.
