Heart Game: Hurricane - Run 1

[At first, all is still; all is silent.]

[The only light is the light from your phone, where a checklist has taken over the screen. It reads:]

___ Make a change
___ Repair something
___ Protect something
___ Find the True Heart
___ Survive

[Then the light comes up, bright, and then brighter, and you are in…]

[He just smiles ever so sweetly at getting a gun and listening to the instructions.]

Describe what a harbinger is. I'm afraid I've been dropped into this situation woefully unprepared.

[Though he does frown at the mention of mental attacks. Ah, well.]

It's hard to describe them. There have been 37 different documented types, to date. I could give you the briefing files, but you'd be here all day, and we just don't have the time.

The most frequent commonalities are that most of them can fly, most of them have some sort of mental intrusion capabilities, and most of them can do some serious damage to people without any kind of protection.

Then one final question.

For what purpose do we engage in this bloodletting. Are they mindless beasts? Machines? Or can we simply not see eye to eye on matters?

They tear apart everything they come into contact with. There's no reasoning with them.

If you head out into the city, you'll see the damage they've done. Be careful.

Machine or beast. You still have not answered that question.

I shall in a moment. There was a door I wanted to check first.

[And whether he gets an answer to his question or not he's heading back to the hallway.]

Organic, at least. Beast implies something with Earth-based physiology, and they definitely don't have that.

[The man lifts a hand in farewell as he goes.]
