Heart Game: Hurricane - Run 1
[At first, all is still; all is silent.]
[The only light is the light from your phone, where a checklist has taken over the screen. It reads:]
___ Make a change
___ Repair something
___ Protect something
___ Find the True Heart
___ Survive
[Then the light comes up, bright, and then brighter, and you are in…]

Re: The City in the Day
Seems appropriate really. He is not dexterous at all.
But the people screaming, running, it echoes through him. While not dexterous, he is tall --- and stands out. Injured as he is, he'll make the most of his remaining life to shield whomever is closest to him.]
Re: The City in the Day
[The nearest person is B; his eyes are wide, and his cheeks are streaked with tears. When you pull him in against you and press him down toward the ground to keep him afe, you can feel that he's trembling.]
[The creature takes a chunk out of your shoulder, for 3 damage; as your blood pulses out onto the city streets and B shakes beneath you, shielded from the attack, you think you understand. This heart is all Hurricane's, isn't it? So these creatures, too, are a part of him, that sweeps through and rends it all apart.]
[There is no intelligence in their eyes, perhaps - but there is feeling, and as you lose consciousness, you think you can begin to understand what it is: guilt, and pain, and self-loathing, a wave of not good enough, not strong enough, not brave enough so strong that it's difficult to take a breath.]
[Or perhaps that's just that your lungs are refusing to work. You have lost an awful amount of blood.]
Re: The City in the Day
That feeling though. Oh, Hurricane. Who is strong enough? Brave enough? Willful enough? Whom who has witness great tragedy, great destruction, have not wrestled with these thoughts?
The truth is --- no one.
But should we not rise to the occasion, who would stand in our place? To protect. To laugh. To share. To love. To make the day just a bit brighter basking the presence of those we care for.
It this not why we should strive to fight?]
[Also, we gonna have a talk buddy! After this! When he's not so dead.]
