Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 2)

In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.

TIME UNTIL REBOOT:


And then you wake up.

As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!

[ moving closer to the center of the room where Intensity is sitting. ]

Who, me? I'm no good with complicated stuff.

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ Scoots over so Izumu can sit next to him anyway, patting the ground next to him. ] Oh. Well that's fine. It'll probably take me a while to finish it. [ And then after a pause ] I don't think I have all the pieces anyway.

[ he does sit down, but then immediately tries to pull Intensity into his lap. casually, without a break in the conversation. ]

Ah—pieces, huh? Now that part, I thiiink I can help with.

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ Izumu - this child was never hugged one in his life after his parents died (outside of comforting his brother) so he just freezes in his lap, like he doesn't know what to do. ] Okay.

[carnivorouscarnival]

[ look, this is the only time Intensity will ever be smaller than him! he can never do this again!!

anyway, he doesn't seem to mind that too much as he digs around in his pocket and produces two puzzle pieces. ]

These must belong to you, right?

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ Eventually, he relaxes against Izumu ] Oh yeah! [ And he reaches out to pick one of the pieces up from Izumu's hand ] They're the same, aren't they? Where did you get these?

I just woke up with 'em.

[ glancing from around him to look at what he's got of the puzzle so far. ]

This is all I've got, though, and looks like you're gonna need a feeeew more pieces than this.

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

Yeah. You're right. But I'll get them all. [ He clinks two pieces together and then--- ] Oh! There is something I want to show you. [ But he's not moving because that would mean getting off of Izumu's lap ]

[ also not moving yet, but: ]

Yeah? What's that?

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

She's in the snake pit. And probably easier to show than tell.

Gyahaha... Your mystery person musta gotten on somebody's bad side, huh?

Well, then—[ and with a "hup," he shifts to get up and gently nudges Intensity out of his lap. just a little reluctantly. ]

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[ He takes Izumu's hand when they stand up ] Oh no. That's not it. They're in charge of the snake pit!

[ You head to the Common Room ]
