In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.

And then you wake up.

As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!

[ One potentially familiar face greets you when the door opens. You're obviously in a waiting area. A small room with one plush chair with Nine-Nine lounging on it comfortably. (And none for you apparently.) He looks up from his phone. ]

...I didn't like any of it. We didn't get far enough to start talking about terms of employment.

[She takes a deliberate breath and takes a moment to calm down and consider the answer to that question.]

That one was... wrong. Too cold, and resigned to doing things the way they've always been done.

Intensity should be... hot and intense, and not held back by things like expectations or the constraints of reality. Ambitious to a fault, but that's how he accomplishes things other people can't. And... full of emotions, even if he won't admit that's what they are... hungering for people he can count on being there for him.

[ Takes a moment to consider that ] His soul is a puzzle as I'm sure you've guessed. So you're not going to find all of that in just one aspect of him. But. If I had to take a shot in the dark - so to speak - of what comes the closest. [ He laughs ] I'd aim for the True Heart.
