Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 2)
In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.
TIME UNTIL REBOOT:

And then you wake up.
As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!
Game start.

Death-T cw: blood; death; gore
And for obvious reasons.
In the center of the room lies one (1) very dead Intensity, lifeless eyes staring at the ceiling as a spear is stabbed straight through his chest. The spear is tagged 'Day 47'. Before he expired, it seems Intensity attempted to write a message -- in his blood of course. Dramatic person that he is.
Losing means death.
On a long concrete table lining the hallway, there are trinkets and items all lined up neatly in a row. They are tagged and on display on stands and in cases as if they were museum pieces:
As you take in the room around you, you swear that you can feel something watching you from the shadows.
There are two exits: [ In front of you and behind you ]
[[ Mechanic: For every comment you make in this room, roll a 1d10. If you roll 1-3, please ping the Heart Runner. You do not have to do this if Kaiba is in the room with you. ]]
Re: Death-T cw: blood; death; gore
behind means going back to the space station presumably so he's moving forward, to intensity's corpse. Mmmm.
mentally trying to remember what happened day 47 . . . rolled a 4 ]

[ 4 means that you are safe (for now) ]
[ But yeah. That is sure a dead!Intensity on the floor. Whoops! Time to fire the cleaning crew. ]
no subject
he's definitely firing the cleaning crew ]

[ When you touch the handle of the spear, you will feel your whole body go numb. You're barely able to stand. Images pass over you in quick succession.
I'm of the opinion this whole thing is a bad idea, but that's not the deal either.
[ And you feel a spear slam through your chest. ]
[ The image of the final conspirator flashes across your mind. ]
[ Some business trip. ]

shaking off the memory when he can, moving to try picking up intensity's body, but
also he rolled a 2, ]

RIP ]
[ A powerful cold gust of wind rushes down the length of the corridor, rustling the hem of the corpse's cloak and disturbing the neatly lined items on the table. The jewelry and cards fall to the floor with a deafening ting - like a pin being dropped in a silent room.
And you are filled with dread - soul crushing and hopeless as if you had just come upon a night that you knew would never end.
There is a rustle of cloth and a low wailing sound of something distinctly not human.
Before you come face to face with the face of Intensity's nightmare. ]

more importantly how far away is it and does it stand between me and the forward exit ]
no subject
But at the moment it's about 10 feet away, but it's slowly gliding toward you. ]

picking up the spear and hurling it at the nightmare 8Db ]
cw: gore
And yet it still advances.
(That didn't work when Intensity tried either). ]
Re: cw: gore

[ This allows the nightmare to come closer. ]
[ But also you have ring sanity powers now! Enjoy! ]

the volleyball
to throw it
does throwing something while having the ring on mean i attack with sanity instead ]
no subject
[ You hit the nightmare square in the face and it shrieks as it is very weak to mental attacks.
Good job, Lucifel. Good job. ]
no subject
while it's stunned he's grabbing the gun, hey FUCKER are you gonna TRY THAT AGAIN
CUZ LIKE
I DON'T HAVE CONFIDENCE IN MY AIM
BUT I CAN DEFINITELY HIT YOU WITH A GUN LIKE IT'S A BASEBALL BAT ]
no subject
[ And smack Intensity's nightmare senseless with it.
THIS IS THE POWER OF LOVE!
You now have an opening to get to the other door. ]
no subject
ok we're dragging intensity's corpse out of here, gun slung over lucifel's own shoulder ]
(no subject)

then he's immediately distracted by the volleyball hitting his feet, and he bends down to pick it up. ]

[ It's been your second duel to the death this game and you have never felt more ALIVE. Blue Eyes at your side, taking careful aim with your pistol as Man Eater's form darts between the trees.
Just as you aim it for a pistol whip -- your gun turns into a volleyball.
What. the. fuck? ]
Everything about Hell is complete and utter bullshit!
DO YOU HEAR ME, PRODUCERS!?
[ After a brief moment of shock, Man Eater smiles at you. And casts Harder They Fall. On you. ]
"--Intensity."
[ You still lose the death match. (But do you really?) ]
no subject
he pauses for a moment after the memory runs its course, then moves to place the volleyball on the concrete table with the rest of the trinkets.
(also, he rolled a 1.) ]
no subject
There's a sense of "rightness" in it being placed back on the shelf.
But also. ]
[ A powerful cold gust of wind rushes down the length of the corridor, disturbing the neatly lined items on the table. That volleyball that so Izumu just so carefully put back up - back on the floor again. Talk about ungrateful housekeepers!
And you are filled with dread - soul crushing and hopeless as if you had just come upon a night that you knew would never end.
There is a rustle of cloth and a low wailing sound of something distinctly not human.
Before you come face to face with the face of Intensity's nightmare. ]

a shudder runs down his spine, and he quickly whips around to look in the direction of the sound.
he vaguely recognizes that monster—vaguely enough that it takes him a few moments to remember from where. ]
no subject
does Lightning Flash have any effect on nightmares? let's find out! ]
no subject
But a moment is all that it's stunned for. ]
