And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!

It is. That's why we're so long in to it and still can't manage inter-unit cooperation to save our lives, literally. Too many people here are more worried about avoiding short-term pain than worrying about how they're going to value life in the long-term when they've discarded it so many times without a thought.

Our method's haven't always overlapped, but Chief's always had his head in the game.

Considering that his 'king of hell' aspect is entirely artificial, and even the 'true' part of himself runs like a robot, I don't think getting too caught up on emotions is likely to be a problem for him.
