Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 2)
In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.
TIME UNTIL REBOOT:

And then you wake up.
As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!
Game start.

he crouches down so they're about on eye level. ]
Hey, you.

[ And he looks thoughtful for a moment before saying--- ]
I don't know a lot about Rizumu. So if she was off... Can you tell me more about her sometime?

Izumu is family.
no subject
Right, right. Guess the answer to that one should've been pretty obvious, huh?
[ and then he wraps his arms around tiny Intensity and pulls him close in a tight hug. ]
no subject
But also.
Hugging Izumu back. Just as tight. ]
no subject
Izumu ruffles his hair roughly and messily for good measure, whenever he does eventually pull back. ]
Thanks.

But there are other places - Heaven, Hell, the trauma hallway, and then Blue Eyes lives in the Egyptian Palace.

What's in Heaven and Hell?

We booted C out because we made a promise to B.

Gyahahahaha! Serves 'im right. If only I weren't too late to see the look on his face.
no subject
Well, maybe I should put it like this instead: is there anything you could use my help with?
no subject
[ And Intensitiny thinks about this for a long few moments. ]
You can help fight back the nightmare, but---
It'll probably just come back again. I'm not sure how to get rid of it for good.
no subject
[ he assumes. ]
It won't stay gone if I kill it?
no subject
It's like the Penalty Game nightmare.
It was only supposed to last for one day.
1/2
... Right. "Haven't been able to get rid of it," wasn't it?
[ ... ]
no subject
'Kay, I'm gonna kill it anyway.
no subject
. . .
There's a midboss in the way. Do you want me to lure him away?
no subject
[ slightly cocky, but slightly a serious question. ]
no subject
But I do think he'll make you really mad.
no subject
[ ... ruffles Intensitiny's hair, thoughtful. ]
Would you be putting yourself in danger?
no subject
I'm the most dangerous thing in this heart.
[ Said with all the confidence of a 10 year old ]
