• You're wearing either a butler outfit or a maid outfit—whichever one you would be most (or not-least) comfortable in.
• The goal, should your character choose to acknowledge it, is to "pretend to be a servant" and explore as many rooms as possible—this is innate knowledge. Exploring is the same as Betrayal—rooms aren't traditionally "exploradora'd" but instead "entered and now you engage with an item or NPC or event."
• That's right, this is kinda Betrayal! You have stats and will be prompted to roll dice on many occasions. To roll dice: type .roll xD3-x into #dicebot on discord, where x is the stat you're rolling for. For example, attempting a Sanity roll if you have 2 Sanity means you're inputting .roll2D3-2.
• Taking "mental/physical" damage is a little different—here you will fill in boxes on the stat sheet when you take damage. If you take 1 mental damage, you'll fill in the first box in the "mental" bar. Take some more mental damage? Fill in another. If all four boxes of either bar are filled (including the skull,) you are not KILLED but instead punished in accordance with the bar you've maxed out. While you can suffer minor injury and annoyance while traversing the mansion, these particular punishments tend to be much crueler. CLICK FOR A VISUAL EXAMPLE OF TAKING DAMAGE.
• Your stat sheets are here and, as an fyi, your unit powers are on.
NOTE: This mansion is not the House of Mirth—it's a mansion, but not that mansion.
You come to in the Bloody Hallway. It's decorated with elegant things—and blood. Lots of it. Stains and puddles galore. The odor of iron is nearly unbearable. You watch as one maid, who looks suspiciously like Silence, attempts to mop some of the fresher blood, only to quickly depart with her mop and bucket in defeat.
You yourself are holding a mop, as if you had been trying to clean the room yourself just moments ago.
You come to in the Interrogation Room. A lone wooden table, lit by the swinging lamp overhead in this otherwise dark room, is the clear focal point.
Both of you sit next to one another, on one side of the table.
The chair on the opposite side of the table is occupied by none other than... Jyanta. His plush paws are pressed together, like he'd be clasping his hands together if he had fingers.
"Hello. Now that you two are listening, will you please answer at least one question?"
((OOC NOTE: Every attempt to lie in this room requires a Sanity roll. As long as you roll higher than 4, you can successfully make that lie. Failure means you end up spilling the beans without being able to stop yourself—or being unable to say anything at all, but I'll leave this to player discretion for whatever's more fun.))
You come to in the Torture Chamber. This room is full of bloodied torture equipment and weapons. However, it all merely adorns the wall and seems to sit around as decoration. A bit odd, given the potential owner, but as it's all hanging alongside medals and trophies, you get the feeling it's a fucked up badge of pride.
You've not a second to waste when you're suddenly pulled into the nearby iron maiden—you feel the nails on your skin.
You enter the Drawing Room. It looks like the best place to withdraw yourself from the world, at least, for someone according to Victorian times. You have a dessert tray of sweets, plush seating, a fire to keep you warm, some lovely paintings…
And yet, no matter how serene and picturesque this room looks, you can't ignore the disquieting sounds that get louder and louder in succession. First a lonely wail, followed by a scream, then the breaking of glass until you're met with simply silence—which is almost as unnerving as the sounds before it.
You come to in the Meeting Room. Several maids, who all look like Silence with either shorter or longerhair, and Jyanta, are busily discussing something important around a conference table—judging from the piles of papers, it concerns Song or Symphony, but they fall still when you awaken.
Even though you're sitting at the head of this table.
But, unhelpfully, your cell phone rings before you can do anything else.
You enter the Kitchen. Alongside this impressive cooking space is a large, round dining table. Sure, this may be a mansion, but it's all in one here
Taking up most of the space on said table is a larrrrrrrrge cake with several tiers. Adorning the many tiers of this cake are simple little figures of everyone who has been in Imeeji since Silence's arrival.
Want to look for yourself or a friend as the maids, who look like Silence but NOT like Silence because they all have different haircuts and hairstyles, add some finishing touches?
You enter the Study. A desk with a quill dipped in a bottle of ink sits at the ready, beside a completed letter. It's very thorough, composed of a couple pages, but you can gather this much: it expresses the desire for Silence, Song, and Symphony to get along. It goes over the suggestion to share control of this body mansion—expressing the desire to meet an agreement, and try and mutually benefit each other.
...beside it is another letter in an envelope, one that was already open and read.
You are met with a letter from Song. Her handwriting is like chicken scratch, and there are many scratched out words you can't make out. All you can glean from it is a level of frustration she can't communicate.
And then, things get weird. You see eyes on the wall, all opening one after the other and rollong to look at you.
You enter the Theatre. Red curtains, gold accents, stately wall paneling in white... Nothing looks off, at least at first glance—until you realize that you do not stand among the seating.
You stand on the stage.
Before you is an audience of maids who all look like Silence, with a variety of hairstyles, watching you with judgement—until their eyes light up, because Jyanta has joined you! Applause (and some delightful gasps) resonate through the theatre as you are covered with confetti.
"Good morning or afternoon or evening! Welcome to Jyanta's quiz show! Would you like to answer a few questions for a prize?"
You enter the Dark Corridor. There's no light in what must be an otherwise regal space—one without windows—but it doesn't stop the maids from traversing, so why should it stop you?
However, unlike them, shadowy hands are reaching out for you from everywhere, trying to take hold.
You enter the Graveyard. As one would expect from such a place, everything is dead: the plants, the grass, and anything buried beneath the simplistic grave markers. There are no signs of any inscriptions. You get the feeling that whoever arranged this decided they didn't deserve a message.
You both find yourselves rapidly sinking into the dirt.
You enter the Ballroom, which is colossal. Who would've thought they'd keep one by the graveyard. It could use some love though. The wallpaper is peeling, and the blood-stained floor is dusted with dirt. The light is dim, annoyingly flickering from time to time.
...in spite of this, several many mannequins, none looking like Silence, by the way, spin across the floor.
The music stops, and a laugh from all around you and nowhere all the same floods the room. If you try to call out or look around, you will find your voice and footsteps fall on deaf ears. Everything falls silent.
You enter the Master Bedroom—a room with nothing less than a king-sized bed and overstuffed pillows. However, you'll find that nearly everything in this room is torn to shreds, from those overstuffed pillows to even various stuffed animals scattered across the floor.
With a high-pitched squeak, the closet door across from you opens juuuuuust a crack. If you try to peer into it, you will find that it's too dark to investigate without opening it up.
> If you open the door, roll 2 dice (no stats, just 2d3-2)
You enter the Prison. Rather, it's a singular prison cell—a decrepit one with but a bench and a tiny barred window. The only way out is the door behind you and... oh, would you look at that, it's been slammed shut and locked from the other side.
...
You feel your mind growing foggy. Just—where are you? And what are you doing here?
You both awaken in the Trauma Center in separate beds. The simplest way to describe this room: a high-tech nurse's office. Of every room in the mansion, this one screams "future is now" more than any other. It's one of the few rooms with technology at all, spoilers.
There is not a maid in this room, but a nurse—an old-fashioned nurse who doesn't blend in with this room at all. She resembles Silence, though her badge on her dress reads "Echo the 165th." She is sorting through a filing cabinet, looking up when you both awaken.
"Please do not move too quickly. I must assess your status first."
