So--the point is...he wants to keep tabs on the important people of his important people...? Plus me, 'cause I'm on the list. ...But not all the important people, just ones he feels like he can talk to, or like--learn something from...maybe? Like...people with strategic value.
I'd say that's a pretty cold way of looking at it. More like, somehow, if something happens to Haruto, it ends up coming back and connecting to you. The web gets pulled on, and everyone feels the tug. Somehow.
I don't see how that's any less cold to think you're screwed 'cause you like people who like people who like people. I mean...I get it, it ain't wrong. But at the same time, if the web's big enough, then most of the tugs don't gotta be much more than annoyances...there's other people who can pick up the slack. You don't gotta avoid every connection, y'know?
Didn't say anything about anyone being screwed. But . . . Okay, you pass. Good job. One down, three to go. Or two. No one's really counting how many you get done.
