Your sleep is restless, and it's hard to settle as your eyelids refusing to stop twitching, and you can feel an itch at the back of your mind, flashes of uncomfortable thoughts dipping in and out of your dreams, constantly interrupting your tries to relax. ... Are you even asleep?

Apparently you were, because you wake up with a start, cheek pressed uncomfortably to steel flooring and flickering lights overhead. Unfortunately, you don't feel very rested at all.

[ WELL... she's gonna try to go back into the hall in that case. If she can make it through the plushie flood. ]

[ In that case she's going to head up the stairs. After grabbing a couple of tabby cat plushies to bring with her. ]

[The first thing you'll notice heading up those stairs is that while the plushies bounced off the walls(?) there are no actual walls. Or railings. Nothing to keep you from falling off the stairs should you stumble.

As for what's below the stairs? You can't see, it's a complete and thick darkness. It gives off a strange feeling in the air, similar to how it feels to wake up from a nightmare.]

[ This is...pretty unsettling! The lack of railing doesn't seem to bother her; she's confident in her own footing. But the post-nightmare feeling is definitely anxiety inducing.

She slows down, more cautious now as if she expects something to come down the stairs at her again. ]

...Hey...? Is there anyone up there? You dropped, uh, a lot of stuff.

[ Yep, the creepy feeling isn't enough to stop her yet. She's definitely watching her step on the way up now. ]

[Eventually you reach the top. There's a fancy door up there, as if to a mansion. It's got painted prison bars on it, a little crudely. It also has an old fashioned lock for a bigger key.]

[ She's going to try the door, of course, but if it doesn't open then it's back down the stairs to the hall ]
