[Then the light comes up, bright, and then brighter, and you are in…]

[The creature shrieks in rage and pain, black blood gushing forth from the wound.]

[It rushes back in to counter, with an 18 (damage 4) and a 13]

Talon curses and takes a frantic swing (16 dex, 4 dmg) meant to drive the creature back enough for him to put some distance between them ]

[driveby with a 22 Wis check and a DEBUFF -2 for whatever enemies throw at Talon next time]

[WAVES AND HAS TO GET BACK TO HIS HERO]

[The whispers can't take hold this time.]

[And with rolls like these, the creatures aren't especially successful at attacking, either. The one that Talon hit is floundering on the rooftop, head on by a strand of flesh.]

[ He gives C a quick salute of acknowledgement and darts back in, going for a finishing blow against that one!! (24 dex, 3 dmg, 15 wis) ]

[Off comes the head, in a sickening gout of black blood.]

[Its friend tries to scrabble at his armor for a score of 9, but it is ineffective.]

[ Now this is more like it. As long as his luck's holding out, Talon twists around to slash at the gut of this other monster (or what he assumes its guts are) (17 wis, 24 dex, 3 dmg) ]

I thought these things were supposed to be tough!

[This one squeals and thrashes, darting in with its mouth open wide to try and take a bite of him. But with a roll of 7, its teeth slide harmlessly off the armor.]

[ Drag a laser dagger across its throat. (17 wis, 26 dex, 4 dmg) ]

[This one is down to a hair of life, too, barely hanging on.]

[It tries to tear at him with its claws, but the blood loss has made it weak]

[ He smiles a little too wide, all teeth and sharp edges while he finishes this one off (wis 13; dex 27!!, dmg 4 was this really necessary at all)

He's planning to peel off to go provide some cover for...whatever is going on with Mori, but that's assuming he's still together after that wis roll ]
