Heart Game: Hurricane - Run 2

[At first, all is still; all is silent.]

[The only light is the light from your phone, where a checklist has taken over the screen. It reads:]

[Then the light comes up, bright, and then brighter, and you are in…]

[The harbingers twist and dodge in the air, darting and dodging.]

[The whispers seep into your mind, though, powerful and dark:]

Everything's under control.

Of course it is; you're here, and you know what you're capable of.

[ Yes, that's right. He does.

Which is why he uses the auto-hit to take out the harbinger flying nearest Yugi. 3 damage.

Wis 8. ]

K- King.

[ omg stop. ]

[ can he attempt to drag king the hell away from these things. ]

[One of the creatures darts in, slashing with its claws, but with a roll of 7 it isn't especially effective.]

[ It seems Yugi is successful at dragging him away, then! ]

Yugi -- stop!! I know what I'm doing!

Let me help then! and... and we kind afford to fight two at a time. Just focus on one of them!

[ he's going to buff king again, since there's probably another asshole incoming. ] You're already hurt... [ said softly. ]

[ Clearly he's fine and everything is fine here!

But all he heard was FIGHT MORE, so he points at the next one incoming. ]

Then-- that one!

[ And flinging a card, dex 15, damage 3.

Wis 24 ]

[ wis 26 ]

[ and lifts his staff to cast a debuff to the enemies around them! ]

[ BUT ALSO GOD DAMMIT KING. ]

[King doesn't quite manage to land a hit; the harbigners twist and dodge in the air, graceful. They rush in for another pair of attacks, 18 and 26, for 2 damage each, one swiping at each YGO]

[The whispers, for once, stay quiet]

[ Either of those hits would have landed, so thankfully Yugi's debuff prevents all of the damage.

He winces a little like he's expecting the blow, but then realizes it's not coming -- and laughs. ]

Good job, partner.

[ And then he's lining up another blow on the one they signaled out, dex 6, wis 6. ]

[ a buff isn't going to help those rolls, but yugi doesn't like that king just keeps springing back into things. he's hurt and... well, there's no medic among this group. ]

[ yugi is going to debuff the next incoming attack. ]

[ wis 22 ]

[Thank goodness someone is making Wis rolls]

[ RIGHT! ]

[ SHUT UP NARRATOR ]

[This time, the whispers don't stay quiet.]

[They creep into the back of your mind, dark and insidious.]
