Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 3)
In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.
TIME UNTIL REBOOT:

And then you wake up.
As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!
Game start.

Character Specific Introductions
Hurricane
Before you can reach the door, however, someone taps you on the shoulder. You turn in greeting only to find a piece of toast practically slammed down your throat.
Mehniel huffs, pouting as they viciously start applying jam to another slice of bread.
"Running off without breakfast. Hurricane please!"
Nemesis, trying desperately not to laugh, plucks the newly jammed toast from Mehniel's hands when they're done.
"Orders from up high. What can you do?" She says with a shrug as she stuffs breakfast into her own mouth (at least of her own will).
Requiem picks up the jar of red remaining jam (that is to be her breakfast after all) and turns to look at you with a sly smile.
"Hey, you were going to invite the rest of us, too? Right?"
Stuttering an affirmative through the bread, you sheepishly run a hand through your hair. Of course, they were invited. You were just excited, that's all.
All three seem apparently appeased by your response, so you turn back to the door, reaching for it and---
You wake up again.
[[ Powers:

King
You think this is winning? Don't get ahead of yourself.
Fine! If it's a fight to the death you want, then that's what you'll get.
You're dead. You know that, right?
... Yes. I'm well aware.
You shouldn't be.
Intensity... I lived three thousand years before you were even born.
Like that fucking matters.
If I want her to.
I'll leave the decision in your hands, then.
You're so certain that I'm going to save you!
I'm testing a theory!
If you die again, I'll never forgive you.
Promise? No. I'm not going to promise. You'll not become my obligation. And I'll not be another one of your responsibilities.
You'd never take the easy way out.
[[Powers:

Nemesis
To the side, you hear Requiem also finish her playing - the melodic lilt of her voice carrying on for a few more beats before it too fades.
For a moment, there is nothing but silence.
And then, Hurricane breathes a single syllable.
"Whoa."
Mehniel claps their hands delightedly, rising to their feet.
"Yes yes. Much better than a harp. What are you supposed to say after this---"
A thoughtful pause, and then.
"Oh yes. Encore! Encore!"
You sling the guitar back over your shoulder like a katana, arms crossed and grin mischevious.
"Next time. Gotta leave the audience wanting for more."
You feel Requiem drape over your back as well, most of her weight being supported by her own levitation. She hums in agreement.
"Right?"
With an exaggerated wave, you pick up the other odds and ends of your band supplies and make your way back to the main room of the house. Pushing open the sliding door---
You wake up again.
[[ Powers:
Mech Suit: Grants increased speed, strength and the ability to levitate (beware if you use it for flying, though, there be real dragons). Close-range combat weapons included. Caveat is that being from Heaven, you can't interact with any Hell technology or items while being in the suit. ]]

Shark
Ah sweet sweet freedom.
You pull out your phone and click your Inter-Dimensional texting app.
Gadget: Hey Shark. You should try this new game with me! It's wicked!
Shine: [ A selfie of him and Silence doing something of dubious safety. There are ghosts in the background. ]
Angel: woweeeee
Which is followed by a string of letters and symbols that I couldn't hope to reproduce with largely translates you she is sending you a crate of her kingdom's very delectable and famous plastic apples.
And the list goes on and on.
With a smile, you stretch your arms over your head and think to yourself surely you have time for a little nap.
You flop back to the pillows, close your eyes and---
You wake up again.
[[Powers:
Super-Shark-Hearing: You have super hearing powers and can hear what's going on in other rooms/spaces even behind closed doors.

Shine
Behind you, Silence makes a sound of surprise as her grip on the stack of pizza boxes causes dents in the edges.
"Warn me first," she pouts as she regains her composure.
You grin to yourself as you pass a slow motorist on the right.
"Sure thing. Did you take care of Zapp?" you ask, already knowing the answer.
You know she's smiling even if you can't see it.
"Naturally."
The rest of the ride continues in companionable silence as you pull up to the delivery address. Silence hands you the two (slightly crumpled) pizza boxes and gives you a pat on the head.
Checking once, twice more for Zapp, you head for the front door to the surprisingly opulent mansion. Why are they ordering take-out pizza anyway?
The plaque on the gate gives you pause.
Intensity Manor.
Nah. Couldn't be...
You reach up to ring the doorbell and---
You wake up again.
[[ Powers:
Mother Sees All: Roll a 1d10 when you want to make an investigation check. Shine will get extra flavor text based on what you roll.

Silence - cw gore; violence
"Destroy him, Wildfire!"
You scream at the top of your lungs as you jump to your feet so you can see over the tall person sitting in front of you.
"You can do it!"
Your boyfriend rushes past you - a veritable blur on the court, and you cheer him on the whole way. The loud verbal expression is surprisingly refreshing. As is the floppy hat, banner, and the large sign bearing Wildfire's team logo. And maybe also the fan with his face on it.
Next to you, Shine laughs as he takes a large sip of whatever carbonated beverage is being offered at this basketball court.
"Don't worry. He's got this."
Said as Wildfire slams another perfect shot into the basket.
"Of course he does." You say with pride as you set your paraphernalia on the bleacher. "I'm going to get more colored banners. Do you want one?"
Shine just shakes his head with a laugh, taking another drink.
You nod and step down the walkway, headed to the concession stands. You step across the exit of the court and---
You move across the stage with purpose, poise and grace. Every line recalled perfectly. Every emotion conveyed effortlessly. The culmination of talent and hard work all rolled up into one.
"Cut!" The director calls as the stage-lights brighten. "That's a wrap!"
Warm murmurs and impressed awe greet you. Your co-stars come over to give you congratulations. To praise your excellent performance.
And you smile back with kind words, face beaming. Yes. You did this. All you. And no one else. There's no on else here. Just you. As it was always meant to be. As it was supposed to be.
You walk off the set with a skip in your step as you smooth down your designer clothes. Back to your dressing room. The one with "Song" printed in perfect neat letters on the door.
You reach for the door and---
You rip the weapon from the now cooling body in front of you. A little too easy in your opinion. And not nearly as fun as it could have been.
What a disappointment.
Your phone buzzes and you balance it between your ear and shoulder, wiping your weapon on the deceased's clothing as you pull your red cloak closer around you.
"Yeah, yeah. I just finished. Sheesh. You're pushy."
A quiet hum of static as the person on the other end talks.
"Oh? Another contract. From the King himself. Ha...! Well, I'll consider it if you sweeten the deal."
"Should I stop by your office?"
Another pause. And then you hang up, tucking the phone away. You look down at the mess beneath you with a shrug as you turn to leave.
Making sure your gloves are carefully in place, you reach for the door and---
--- You wake up again.
[[Powers:
Puppeteering: Yep, Intensity saw the memory so Silence/Song/Symphony can have this. Go wild! ]]

Heaven - Main Branch
You enter a very modern and very corporate office space - obviously of some higher ranking official in the company. If the pricey decor wasn't enough to give that away, the fact that you can see nothing but open sky outside of ceiling-to-floor length windows is just another data point to that fact. Also, if you have any experience with corporations or negotiations, you'll notice that this is a high-ranking reception room due to its sparse furniture. And no chairs on the customer-facing side of the desk indicates one meant to intimidate.
On various surfaces on the room, a single word has been - for lack of better description - erased. Where the company name should be (K̵̭͋̀̇̽ȁ̴̗͕̰̄̚ì̵̭̹͍̬̋͘b̴̰̦̝͕̆̇̈́ȧ̶̮͈̮̏) and the first letter in the company logo (K̵̭͋̀̇̽), it looks like static if you stare at it too long.
Behind the opulent desk (which still manages to have a 90s-style CRT desktop), the chair is turned away from you and facing the windows. But by the sound of fingers tapping together, it is obvious that someone is there.
On the edge of the desk sits a large crystal bowl that one might use to serve candies at a party. It currently has one (1) puzzle piece.

King of Hell's Office
You find yourself in a wide, expansive cathedral with ceiling to floor stained-glass windows and heavy columns lining the unnecessarily long walkway. Pews are lined up neatly (perfectly so) on either side of you and a dark blue carpet framed in silver cushions your steps.
There is a figure at the end of that carpet, lounging comfortably in a silver throne behind a silver desk. A symbol of everything that is modern and all things technology in comparison to the layout of the room.
Even at this distance, you can see that Intensity's skin is paler, almost porcelain-like, and his hair has a bleached-silver sheen to it. Probably even more noticeable is the two giant white metallic wings that spring from his shoulder blades and the long dragon's tail that peeks out from the hem of his coat. Oh. And one more thing. You can very obviously tell there's not a single inch of human flesh on him - he's 100% artificial.
The King of Hell greets you with cold eyes and a colder smile, lacing his fingers in front of him.
"Congratulations. You graduate."

Enter Kaiba [ 1 / 2 ]
Enter Kaiba [ 2 / 2 ]
Once the vision leaves you, you open your eyes to the interior of a grandiose space station overlooking Earth. It appears no expense was spared in this particular endeavor. The twinkle of hundreds of LED lights and dozens of screens display more data than can be ever consumed by a single person in real time.
Across from where you are standing and behind a set of evenly spaced-bars of light stands "Intensity" looking out over this view. For those who remember the Rift or Liar Hell, yes, those are indeed the very same prison bars. It doesn't seem he has noticed your presence, laser focused as he is on some giant contraption putting together a large pyramid-shaped puzzle in zero-gravity.
If you do step forward to take a closer look at the screens, you will notice that there are pictures of the other occupants in the Heart Game and what they are doing.

The Pharaoh's Palace
The vessel becomes sand, becomes dust
Even the brightest gold, Even the
Sharpest sword
Is wrapped in the sheath of time
Woe to the pharaoh, for his body
lacks even his name
Time is the battlefield of souls
I cry the song of battle, the song of a friend
To the place far away where souls meet
Guide me

No. Scratch that.
You enter the most ridiculous amusement park of your life.
Everything, I mean everything is Blue Eyes themed. The buildings, the gates, the rides, the concession stands. Even the fucking bathrooms are Blue Eyes themed. And that Intensity statue at (10). How tacky, right?
But there are a lot of faceless, nameless children running around the park screaming with delight as they run to and from each attraction, trying to cram as many in a short time as possible. So. It looks fun?

Death-T cw: blood; death; gore
And for obvious reasons.
In the center of the room lies one (1) very dead Intensity, lifeless eyes staring at the ceiling as a spear is stabbed straight through his chest. The spear is tagged 'Day 47'. Before he expired, it seems Intensity attempted to write a message -- in his blood of course. Dramatic person that he is.
Losing means death.
On a long concrete table lining the hallway, there are trinkets and items all lined up neatly in a row. They are tagged and on display on stands and in cases as if they were museum pieces:
As you take in the room around you, you swear that you can feel something watching you from the shadows.
There are two exits: [ In front of you and behind you ]
[[ Mechanic: For every comment you make in this room, roll a 1d10. If you roll 1-3, please ping the Heart Runner. You do not have to do this if Kaiba or the True Heart is in the room with you. ]]

Central CPU Core
The center of this room is dominated by a large glass box with four screens overhead, counting down the time from the start of the game. The same timer you saw when you arrived here. And in that box, breathing but otherwise unmoving, sits Intensity. Numerous wires are coming out of the base of his neck and disappear down into the floor. He does not look over at you upon your arrival. In fact, he doesn't seem aware of anything around him.
The rest of the room consists of three walkways leading to three exits, and the fourth leading to a large bulky 90s computer (much like the one in Intensity's lab) with two large dual flatscreen monitors that are much more modern by contrast.
There are three exits: [ Heaven , Hell, and the elevator behind the glass box ] Beneath the walkways is a dark abyss. You cannot see the floor.

FiN Common Room
It's. so. crowded.
The images of 20 people wander around the interior space, some more opaque than others - chatting and interacting with each other. Heated games of Go Fish and Candyland take up one section of the room. Popcorn and a small group of people huddled around the Danny Devito movie "Twins" in another. Origami piled high in a corner as even more FiNs add to the stack. And one, two, three... yes, three mom bots fussing over the various inhabitants.
And at the very center of the room (near that cube table and those awful cube chairs) is a very colorful espresso machine, playing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" as a new cup of coffee has been freshly brewed.

And the far wall is almost entirely dominated by this image.
In the center of the room sits an Intensity that can't be more than 10 years old and... smiling. Like. Actually smiling as he carefully puts together a 3D puzzle that looks like it would take a long time to complete even for an adult. But he seems to be entranced with it as he carefully slots two pieces together.
Perfect fit.
He looks up at you as you enter.
There is only one exit: [ Back to the Fin Common Room ]
Re: Intensity's Lab
He knows Intensity's lab well, so this is not what he expected. In fact, he immediately feels like he's intruding somewhere he doesn't belong, grinding to a halt in the doorway. ]

The Real King of Hell
[ You enter (or crash land) into a large arena with dozens of holographic computer screens floating in mid air. Each one is keeping track of what is going on in the Heart. Everything from Heaven, Hell, that fucking death hallway, and even one in the FiN dorms.
Would Intensity have hidden surveillance over his entire soul? You bet your ass he would.
The impressive arena seating is filled with faceless people. Some look like they might be connected to other people off-world, but as soon as you enter (read: pick yourself up), there is a loud snap of fingers and all talk and connections to others go silent.
In the back sits Intensity atop a floating chair, one leg crossed over the other as he watches the screens out of the corner of his eye. His mechanical eye. The rest of him is still fully human.
And he gestures for you to come closer. ]

So...you a different one or is our silver buddy out there remote-controlled?
